Ninja-infecting a great game with P2W works for games that are made for 14yrs old s*ckers. Our playerbase is far away from beeing that stupid (well, there are the goons...). NVM, our overzealous god-mods should rename this thread to "We've declared P2W". For the ppl. (which I already noticed).. Maybe you're a founder, want this P2W-crap and paid some bucks.. Well, I've also paid a pretty high amount, but too late for beeing a founder, soooo? ****?.
B2T, without rage-level 1337/10...
Why is this consumeable module P2W?
You can get 15% and a 20% consumable for CBills. These consumables using a module slot each. Now there is the MC variant of it which is 35% at it's efficency, but it only uses one slot. So, P2W= 1 Slot instead of 2.
Doesn't sound that bad?
Of course it does! Some mechs only got 2 module slots, so you're technicaly screwed. PGI said modules are high-end content. I never pilot one of my mechs without useing modules. Sensor Range, Target Info Gathering.. Beside that, they want to bring us air-strikes and that nice stuff.
Hööööööh?
Simple, they've already said that this thing will be consumables, too. Sooo... Who's got the bigger balls? Both mechs got 3 slots...
CB: Tier 2 Flush, Tier 2 Air, Tier 2 Arty
MC: Tier 3, Tier 3, Tier 3
You're screwed man.
As for example, Tier 2 and Tier 3 flush-crap. Tier 2=20%, Tier 3=35%. The effect equals 175% of Tier 2. Now you've got something to swallow. I don't wanna know how air strikes look like. I never will, quitting MWO cause of this crap anyway.

How about giving it at least one week, try it out, see how it works...
...and then maybe cry, moan and whine about it?
P2W.. its not the problem here.
it is players that are not willing to spend any money on game, and when they implement something necessary, that needs to be paid for, oh for the love of.. then the crying starts.
Get a grip.

If we don't voice our concerns before it is implemented then we will be dismissed with "It's a beta."
This game shouldn't try to coerce money out of its customers, it should be good enough to gain goodwill and support from them.

Know what I'm most upset about? I read your thread, had something to say, and then it was deleted.
The worst part is I think of you as a respected voice in the community from the Closed Beta days. I felt like that a slap against you was a slap against a lot of us.
Thank you Sir. To be honest I wasn't even mad about my own thread being nuked it was so many other of my Friends and Companions from CB that got their threads put into this trash bin. It would have been alright if all the Coolant Threads were together and Art/Air threads were together but they all got put into this...Whatever this is. To be fair my thread wasn't nuked per se but all the posts that were posted aren't anywhere near each other and with over 140 pages everyones valid opinions were essentinally destroyed. If this isn't a sign of disrespect i don't know what is
ADD:Also as Helmer put it"it would have been fine not touching the Polls" as merging destroyed them too

As Garth has been quoted repeatedly, it's a slap in the face to any players who've spent the time and effort to fine-tune their mechs into a balance of heat vs. firepower. Coolant flush as a whole feels like an easy button for people who don't know how to manage their heat or choose not to. It's disrespectful of the heat mechanic, and I don't want it in the game.
My problem with consumables is that there's any difference between CBill and MC versions. I honestly doubt consumables should even be in this game, let alone something which should cost real money to gain an edge. I'd much rather see a greater emphasis on cosmetic enhancements than on actual in-game mechanics like consumables. I don't like Hawken, but they have their cosmetic stuff down to pat - for V-day / Chinese New Year they made something like 5 unique camo patterns. We're lucky to see 2 a month.

I think this showed a certain level of panic and unpreparedness. Hopefully they'll learn from it and perform better in the future.

The point isn't if its OP or not. It's the simple fact that you can buy something in the game with cash that is better than what you can buy with c-bills. There are many ways of encouraging people of spending MC without copying others. Just think outside the box, I used the example of having matching paint in a 8 man drop will give you a small increase to the XP and c-bills you make. If you do things that have no bearing on the actual gameplay, but encourage people to purchase MC.
