I already posted, but after much thought I finally decided to actually vote for light rather than medium. Although I will probably do both and dip my toes into the heavier classes at some point.

While as I posted earlier my fav mech is a medium, the Uziel, I generally play it as more of a light scout + hit and run than a regular medium.

I'm thinking I'll start with a Raven or maybe a Cicada.

dont really care myself. I will start heavy if only for a catapult. though loadout will play a heavy decisive factor. May change mind and play assualt or light. medium is a soso area for me.

I think I'll probably go with Assault... it's dependent on teamwork for spotting, so I'm not sure why I'm setting myself up like this, but I prefer to pack a big punch...

I'm pleasantly surprised that so many values the tactics required to survive with a light or medium mech.
I expected that about a third of all the votes would be for assaults alone.

That's because only hardcore players are logging in this early. Just wait till the noobs/casuals flood in, then assaults will get the population you expected.

Medium for me. Right amount of speed and just enough firepower. An Uziel with a PPC with the right aim can be a killer. Too bad it is a number of years off.

Like Howling Mad, I'm having a hard time deciding.

Chances are, after watching the GSD video, I will play light (because they look fast), and maybe Assault.

For me a mech can't move unless it can hit 86k, so lighter heavy's and medium mechs for me. Currently my choice is going to be a dragon varient with module selection skued towards scout/hunter-killer focus. Hopeing for a Grand Dragon, several other varients will work favorably however. I Might change my mind before launch and drop into a lighter chassis, with current selections though I am highly doubtful of it.

I like close combat so I chose heavy(Axeman for example and Hatchetman for a medium mech). I hope this mech has a chance to get in this game, I would really love it!! :P :)

hmmm i actually like the idea of a bunch of noobs coming in the slower mechs. This means i can reak havoc on them with infernos in my scouts

I'll just play whatever weight class holds the single model I end up preferring. I suppose I'm more interested in light and assault mechs because, well, if you want mobility why skimp on it and if you want firepower why settle for second best? Sure, there will probably be a medium that hits the sweet spot for me but if you have a Jenner and an Atlas you've got your bases covered.

Obviously this will be finalised once I get to know the actual gameplay.

I want to buy an Adder, a Shadow Cat and a Dire Wolf if they are released.
I think one light and one assault could be enough for most matches, but I just love the Shadow Cat.

As soon as the game is out though ? I'll go with a light mech :3

Probably heavy. I really like the look of some of those catapult setups.

Being from House Steiner, I voted Assault. And if it exists at launch, then I'd pick the Highlander.

But we'll see. I'll test all chassis to see which I feel most comfortable in.

I'll play light or medium. I plan on playing the scout role, so probably either a Raven, jenner or a modified Cicada. Once they release the Archer, I'll probably also get one of those, as it's one of my all time favorite mechs.

While I do love the armor and heavy punch of the assault class, I prefer to have more mobility. I voted for the Heavy class because of that little extra mobility that they have over the assaults.
