Hi guys,

I played closed beta for a while and I stopped playing approximately 2 month ago, because it became boring. But still I am a very big Mechwarrior fan, so I am wondering wethere there were some changes in the game which make it worth to try it again? (Changes in game mechanics, addition of new features, better eco system, more gamemodi than TDM)

Yes it is, the forums will say this is an abomination of the mechwarrior/battletech franchise. Don;t believe the flame/QQers,

Really? Sounds like there are some rude changes... which is good :)
Can you name them?

Well... do you like playing light mechs?

If yes, then try again.

If no, I suggest waiting due to lack of collisions.

If the game became boring to you, I'd recommend waiting until new game modes and maps are in and / or buddy-ing up to get a feel for teamplay, else wise the game hasn't changed much and you'll probably get bored after playing 2-3 weeks.

now is a good time to come back - start getting some practice in because a new map and game mode are supposed to be coming on the 18th :)

Don't bother, you'll hate it. The netcode is much worse, almost all the bugs of closed beta are still there and they've added a few new ones for variety. The maps are the same, the game mode is still the only one. Virtually nothing has changed and almost nothing has been fixed. End of January is when they think they might possibly have the netcode dealt with.

The game IS much better than it was.

Having said that, it is still not up to par on what many people's standards are. A good time to come back might be mid-January as there will be a new 'mech (Stalker) new game mode (Conquest) and many new players since the fall school semester will be over for many college students.

I quit playing for a few months and came back about a month ago and it was almost a different game. They have added in a ton of new things, now I am addicted to it again.

There are some very annoying bugs, like yellow screen, fps bug, CTD (although I hardly every CTD but I know others do) and the sound bug (I also have not experienced the sound bug but people in my clan have complained about it)

And I wish these were fixed as much as the next guy, but I guess I am not the person to go rage quit a game over bugs especially when the game is still in beta.

In any case, I find myself going back to this game and this game alone to play. I am in a highly organized clan however and that adds a LOT to my gaming experience.

It's quite terrible at the moment, but there's supposedly a big patch on the 18th that will fix some of the most critical issues (user experience, economy).

I suggest looking up the patch notes when they're available and see if you think the changes make the game worth it for you.

No.
DHS are still counter-loic.
Energy-focused builds are crap.
Lights wreaking havoc with no collisions.
All bugs are there.
Overall game performance becam worse.
ECM is countered only by another ECM among all other targeting equipment available.
MGs and Flamers still obsolete.
FF is still crap.
Et cetera.

You'll find yourself running the same Ballistic-based mechs, on the same maps with different colors, having the same ridiculous balanse to deal with, PUGs are still stomped by premades, and so on, forever. But hey, you can paint your mechs for ridiculous prices and put some useless crap into your cockpit that you'll never see for even more MC's! So yeah, if you just want to throw your money into trash bin, why not?

all games are waste of money. the only thing you could have from it, is FUN. even all the bugs here, this game gives me more fun then whole BF3. I can only imagine, if it had team like dice behind..... this game still has potential, but it needs really to go forward... add more content/modes.. aaaand eliminate bugs... but then it could be THE game.

This game with 10-15 maps and multiple game modes would be pretty awesome. This game with 1 game mode and 4 maps is really just a tarted up demo with a cash shop. Still fun to play if you are a MW or BT fan, but very repetitive.

Well in PGIs defense, from what I understand anyway, they plan on having large maps, 12v12, community warfare and more game modes. We are getting one called "conquest" which I know nothing about, but another they had mentioned in the past was "dropship mode" where players get to choose 4 mechs and every time you die another one drops.

Imagine a 12v12 Dropship mode game on an extra large map with objectives. That would bring about a long campaign style mechwarrior game that most of us are longing for.

I hear you, but their pace is just too slow. If it takes them 6 months to create a new map and game mode then this game will never live up to what it could be. I still can't believe they came out of the beta with only 4, and 2 months later we're still waiting on another. CW sounds great, but I no longer believe they can do it.

There have been some new mechs added since then, and the ECM system was added which is a huge shift http://mwomercs.com/...dian-ecm-suite/

We now have 8-pilot team vs 8-pilot team as a seperate queue, if you're into that.

More importantly, next week's patch will contain a huge amount of new content including a brand new game mode: Conquest and a big fat new Mech: the Stalker. Check my sig for my preview of the Dec 18 patch content
