Seems to be a pretty good week to get a BotW.

1st: I' am pretty new to mwo world, but well aware of all previous mw production.
2nt: my intervention would probably be morelike a technical discussion rather than a wide discussion on joysticks' selection.
Anyway I try to ask somebody among you for help! I have got a fantastic Logitech EXTREME 3D PRO, which I often use playing flight simulators and I must tell it really worths each euro I spent! But when I run MWO, attempting to configure my joystick in the control configuration page, I have absolutely no response from it, it's dead! I run MWO with Win7 64 bit and Logitech drivers are perfectly updated.
Is there any known problem with MWO and this particular peripheral? Can somebody help please???
Thank you a lot!

Learned a very HARD lesson about video cards and thought i'd post it here for anybody else:
I got me an ASUS AMD Radeon 7950 3GB GPU overclocked addition. The card is working perfectly but there's only one problem: Because it takes up three PCI slots due to the fact it has two huge heat sinks built in, the video card is very heavy. The card sagged a little bit and i didn't think much about it until a couple hours in game when i keep losing signal to my Monitor. I found out after a couple hours of troubleshooting that the GPU is so heavy and powerful that it managed to vibrate itself loose enough from the PCIe slot to no longer be properly plugged in.
I solved this problem by taking some zip ties that came with my PSU's package and created a "loop chain" that goes from my video card to a part on the top/inside of my case. I tightened the loops until the tightness of the chain forced the GPU back in place into the PCIe slot.
After that it never came out of place and everything was fine after that.
Lesson learned: Never purchase a video card that takes up more that two PCIe slots! They're too heavy! Get two video cards and cross fire them or something if you have to in order to get whatever performance you're looking for or you'll end up returning your card or improvising like me cuz i'm greedy and wanted a really big and bad GPU instead of getting a two of them like i was supposed to, haha.
I hope this posts helps anybody shopping for a GPU.

This results in horrible half second plus input lag on my[admittedly older] 42" samsung
I've done 3 screen eyefinity, but I shudder to think about the necessary hardware to drive some of those insane multi monitor setups >.>
Especially with no optimizations to the core program in MwO at this time

EDIT - I should say that, I assume not much has changed since then, so if going a bit above 300 USD for a Sapphire Radeon HD 7950 Boost GPU is still a good choice then that's all I need to know, I guess.

Guys... AMD is recommended for now, because they're ahead in the performance/dollar ratio at this time. If/when Intel grabs that spot back, I'm sure an Intel setup would be recommended. They're not AMD or Intel specific builds.

That CPU is quite capable of playing MWO, although you will want to consider upgrading in the future when you have the budget for it. (I would recommend within the next two to three years at the most)

You can pick up a 7950 for around $299 right now, and with the new catalyst drivers (12.11) it's a good bit faster than the 660ti.
Of course the 660ti is more energy-efficient and smaller though, so there's a trade off.

I've got more room for wattage than I can use, currently have a 750w that's backed up by a secondary 250w specifically or PCI-E GPUs - so power hungy GPUs are welcome. Not sure I can even afford enough graphics power to exceed that setup, really. Wouldn't mind tryin', but...
Although, with Richland around 6 months out, I plan to hold off until I know what those "Trinity 2.0" APUs will Crossfire with. I highly doubt it'll be 7950 level, but if it's able to synch with a 7-thousand-something that's 2gb+ of DDR5, I'll happily pay for that even it's less powerful than a 7950 Boost.
If it's not at or above that VRAM threshold, then I'll go ahead and grab a 7950, or a 7970 if they've come into my range by then.

Though I will have to first start doing updates again. Soon enough.
I second the request for black friday builds... I may just build a PC in the $1200 range this Friday...

Slower than it's price point competition. The 6450 is slightly faster at $50 to my knowledge while being the same price or cheaper depending on what card you get.
At $75, This sapphire 6670 looks to be your best bet on newegg currently; http://www.newegg.co...N82E16814102988 and will be considerably faster than a GT 630 or a HD 6450.

We are sorry, the Game-o-Meter is unable to calculate a performance estimate for your computer. It is unable to determine how well Mechwarrior Online runs on your system. This may be because:
- Your processor or your video card is a very new model
- Your computer has a processor and video card combination that is very rare
- Or your processor or your video card is very old
If your system is new, this problem should resolve itself automatically as more data is submitted. Please try again in a few days.
- Also note that Mechwarrior Online will most likely not run on your computer because...
- The Game-o-Meter detects that your video card has 64 MB onboard video memory. You need to upgrade to a video card with at least 512 MB onboard video memory.
