If you don't scout or defend you simply deserve to be outcapped for using flawed strategies.

Yes i am, but atm about 50% of the Games are Base Races... i was just unlucky to have 5 in a row after the morning call...
And i was stupid and realy... annoyed about this mess, and i think that i know more over Stochastic then you, as i studied Computer Science.
And i already knew that a lot of L2P would come etc... even was close to get me a Bann because a Dutch said something about defend your Base which they did so well 1940 when the German Blitzkrieg arrived and i had a very sharp pointed Note on the tongue.
But Fact is: about 50% of the PuG Games ( out of 150 Games i attended) had been basically ECM Races, sometimes we had been able to make defence, half of the Team was racing while the rest Fought... but everytime it was: Both side had lot of Mechs in Fighting condition, and could turn the Tide of war by Fighting instead of Base Rushing...
And thats it simply Annoying when you want to Fight and not to RACE.
And to the Poeple which are yelling: Go out and defend your Base, i yell back:
Whould it be soo hard to have NO Uber Module for Basecapping and that you need actual to fight, when the Enemy is fast enough?
I poeple would have read my Suggestion Thread they would have noticed that ECM don't prevent Capturing but would slow it down because Non-ECM Mech would still be able to Capture as long as they are not under ECM Cover, and a ECM Equipt Mech would have the Drawback on his Module that his Capturing Speed would be lowered by 75% when running in ECCM Mode.
So 8 Lights with ECM would Capture as fast as 2 Mechs.. or a little Faster when they would all have skilled capping and capping Modules inside.
Someone yelled here: Hey then we can't capture under ECM Cover and would be targets to LRM and SSRM...
And thats the Whole Point someone shouldn't be invulnerable when Capturing as Capturing should be Dangerous....
When you go for Capturing there should be some RISK employed..
Atm Capturing is the lowest risk solution, thats the Reason of so many Base Cap races..
Even when you went for a Cap race and LOSE you wouild stay better as when you went out fighting and lose.
In my non Hero CTF i would stay even better when i LOSE while CAPPING as Fighting and WINNING in most Cases.
Both Teams needs to choice the Cap race... and so do lot of them,,,
Simply because there is no Risk involved. Forcing the Capturing Team out of their ECM cushion would putt some Risk into that and make it harder.
Last words will be an old Proverb:
"No Risk, No Fun"

I PuG alone often, and even they can get consistently organized enough to spot and defend a base rush with very minimal communication at the start.
Here is my standard speech at the Start of Caustic Valley Lake Spawn:
Me: Hey guys, can someone scout 3 line (left)?
NubMcScrub: I'll do it. *(if no one volunteers, you go yourself)
Me: Ok, rest of us should head over to F5. I marked it on the map (B ).
*check map see if anyone went right. If no one goes right go yourself:
Me: everyone stay at F5 a moment, I'll scout right real quick.
*flank around mountain and see if they are pooling up by E5. If they aren't there, someone screwed up their scouting.
Congratulations you will spot the base rush 99% of the time.

I have no Problems killing ECM shielded Mechs, but every Game is now a Speedcap race instead of a FIGHT is for me as a Warrior personality a real problem.
Edit.:
I have problems with Speedcap Games because i want FIGHTS not races... and even if i won it is very unsatisfying.
You said it best yourself; this is your problem. If you don't like base capping, maybe you're playing the wrong game.

why is this such a surprise to people?
just like the ECM poll. More people would rather keep the OP equipment than fix it rofl

Exactly. I don't get why playing defense is such a hard concept for people to grasp.
(The game can be won by base capture? Better randomly march my Atlas halfway across the map at 50kph looking for another Atlas to shoot at so I have no hope of being able to stop my base from being captured!)

Yeah it's awesome one shotting one of those lag shielded Jenners with my Atlas! You have no idea how fulfilling it is watching them faceplant and then tumble head over heels!

With backup from your team and focused fire light mechs die just like anything else. I am not just imagining this defense thing I keep talking about, I've done it...and it works.

one of the main reasons it was put in was to give light mechs, give players a reason to bring them. But as it stands light mechs are hella OP and there are more than a base cap reason to take them.

You can signifigantly increase the time it takes to cap BY YOU AND YOUR TEAM STANDING IN THE CAP ZONE AND SHOOTING THE ENEMY UNTIL THEY DIE.
Seriously, maybe we need to stop making threads about how things in game are OP, and start making threads about how totally fail most of the complainers here must be at playing this game.
