Back some time ago, I had a PUG game where I ran the Gausscat. My team didn't even move up our side of the volcano, and some 2 minutes later, the whole enemy team came like one unit (perhaps they were fully premade, as that was possible), and it where 3 Atlas closing in on me, in melee range. I shot, killed, turned, shot, killed, turned, shot again, killed again, died. 3 headshots in under 20s. I never was this awesomely accurate ever again. My poor teammates then got washed over regardless of my (personal) masterpiece, but still. It was an amazing moment.

My most satisfying kill was actually when I had the yellow screen and was the last one standing from our team "defending" our base. My 2 mates on TS told me where the two enemy mechs were damaged the most and were basically guiding me around from spectator view. I managed to leg one and cored the other leading to our victory.

The whole awesome experience was mostly due to the two guys on TS basically shouting and cheering in my ears all the time.

We were playing 7vs8. 7 on my team of course and i was running my Phract 4X. We were loosing. They killed 3 of our mechs, so it was 4vs8. After that i've killed 3 mechs (one assault, one medium and one heavy) (two headshots i believe) I also weaked CT armor of another two, so the lights could destroy them. Rest of enemy squad died from Awesome and Dragon i believe :) That was my best game ever. It was on Caustic Valley.

i have kinda an accidental one. on caustic i was in my ML boat hunchy running to stop a cap. about 300-400m away i see a damaged atlas trying to duck behind the hill with three friendlies between me and him. i eyeballed the angle and said "ya know i think my lasers can sneak in there" alphaed and got the kill message. had two spectaors on my team ( was 4 on 4 or so at the time) both type in "wow nice shot" as i continued on to stop the cap ( where i think i died horribly because the jenner i thought was there turned out to be a streakcat...) like i actually knew what i was doing with my targeting :(

S!

Yesterday on Frozen City Night, the party was on and I had some serious damage being chased by a Cataphract determined to finish me off. We had traded some shots earlier so he was not 100% either. Covered my CT and ran around buildings and then he finally became impatient and sure of his easy kill on my Dragon that he popped around a corner, missed his shots and got my alpha on his face and went boom.

Forest Colony, a hectic brawl going on and of course the pesky Lagmandos and Ravens were there harassing along with one Jenner. Really do not know how I hit or with what but it seems one Lagmando cooked it's ammo and blew up after a few steps. Team mate cooked a Gaussapult with one salvo, blew the guns and Cat went boom.

I think the best kills are when you get some over a team that will steamroll yours, not giving any quarter but fight to the end. Happened last night in some 8 v 8 fights. Humiliating defeats and some hard earned victories as well. Good games overall and enjoyed them even was killed a lot, but got revenge too :(

This was a full 8vs8 group, not a pug match. Not sure what clan we were up against. We were in River City, my team (Cored) started from the upper city and moved down to lower city to flank them on wide outside area before going across the river. Our scout spotted their team moving in a tight pack, going upper city and across the bridge to cap our base. So we returned back, team split into two because there's only two ways to get back up on the platform from the lower city. I was using Cat C4 with Jumpjet, so I was first to jump up quickly onto the platform. Going around this warehouse (the one sitting right next to our square base. Just moment before I could see who were sitting on our base as I go around the corner of the warehouse, I press Slash key to keep my Missile door open, in preparing to fire without delay.

All of the sudden, I see the whole group, all 8 sitting there. Found the most amusing part was the fact that they all had Hunchback and only one Atlas, perfectly circled around the base. Too bad they were facing the ramp that was on other side, so they didn't see me coming. I didn't stop moving and alpha fired the first Hunchback I saw, he died very quickly, and I'm already "circling" around my base, alpha firing another around to another Hunchback, another clean kill.

That's when they started to panic and split up from the base, trying to put me down hard before my team came up quickly to help me out. The brawl battle started, lasers and ballistic flying all over the place. Took down another Hunchback. 3 kills so far but nearly cored, Side Torsos were red too. Faced away to let them hit my backside so I could just move out of the way and let my team pick up where I left off. Eventfully the team picked off 4 more Hunchback while I was keeping my distance with Medium Lasers, jumping around the plane. The Atlas didn't move much, very much trying to cap our base. I figured maybe I'd just go suicidal-run against Atlas to greet him closer with my 4 SRM6+Artemis. Atlas could easily have killed me off with one shot of anything he had on, but he saw me coming closer while he was picking off someone on my right. he turned his torso dead on center toward me, wasn't that close enough to fire my SRM6 just yet. Knew I was gonna blow, but then Packit came in between and took Atlas' whole alpha fire and died. Don't think it was intentional to save my butt, nevertheless, he brought me enough time to get closer and delivered a 70 worth of damage alpha fire directly into his chest.

I love fireworks.

Skirmishing in my HBK-4SP 4 Small Lasers and 2 SRM6, before the netcode issues I loved hitting a commando running at full speed with a volley of SRMs, watching them explode like a crash test dummy and being strewn across the landscape is poetry in motion

Any time I send two AC/20 shots to a Jenner's face... any light mech is great, but Jenners... soooo satisfying.

Defending the high point on River City in my Cataphract (sporting twin AC10s). The enemy was assaulting the position on all sides. I was in a shootout with two fairly disagreeable Cataphracts, and was moving backward as I fired. They were lighting me up like a Christmas tree. My torso sections were all red as backed right over the sunken road bisecting the base. My rig dropped and was quickly followed by my two aggressors. We were now face to face. With alarms blaring I pulled the trigger as quickly as I could. My first set of auto-cannon rounds rocked one of my opponents, and I was rewarded with a plum of sparks and smoke as he fell. I got off another set of rounds just as the remaining Cataphract brought his weapons to bare. He too exploded as my shells made contact.
Needless to say I thought I was toast from the beginning of this confrontation. Accidentally backing off that ledge was probably the only thing that saved me.

Mine is more a tale of the one that got away.

I was in my Centurion D on Forest Colony, starting on the lower spawn. The early game had seen me and an unknown friendly Wang end up at the entrace to our tunnel while the rest of the team was lower down the map.

Trying to make the best of our position, we made our way through the tunnel and hugged the right side of the map, coming up on their base. Off to our left, we could see an enemy Hunchie SP with LRMs firing from the top of a hill, with an LRM Cat doing the same on the next hill over. We closed in on the Hunchie and after a short dance will killed him off. My teammate peeled off to go and start the cap while I decided to give the still oblivious LRM Cat a wakeup call.

I jogged up to top of the hill and fired my 2SRM6 and 2Mlas straight into his back, and he took off like a scalded... well, cat, and ran back towards the rest of his team. It took more volleys than I was expecting to finish him off, and by the time he went down I was in the middle of the remnants their team; a Dragon and K2 Cat.

At this point I realised I was out of position (again) and it seemed the rest of our team had lost the fight in the middle. Deciding 2 on 2 was better odds than 2 on 1, I started running back towards the cap, thankful I was my fast D variant of the Cent. Large lasers and other fire slashed at me as I bolted, but I managed to catch most of it on my arms as I twisted away.

I reached the base and my teammate and I both turned back the way I'd come, ready to greet the enemy. The K2 arrived first, and I got a good look at him; pretty fresh, using a 4Llas build. We started shooting at him just as the Dragon joined the party. I noticed that the Dragon was smoking badly and missing both arms, so I switched focus to him and greeted him with some SRMs. The targetting computer confirmed he was nearly cored as it locked on, and another volley finished him off... but at the same time the K2 killed my teammate.

The K2 soaked up my final volley of SRM's as we faced each other, leaving me with only my Mlas to continue the fight. By this point I was missing both arms and everything else was dangerously orange. In my favour, the base cap was almost complete and the K2 seemed to be struggling with heat, shutting down after almost every alpha. I danced back and forth behind the base structure, reluctant to leave the square in case I got the cap, but still keen to make the most of the shutdowns.

Then the moment came when I danced too far out of cover and those four terrible blue beams sought out my torso and sent me crashing to the floor, the base cap meter a scant few pixels from complete.

So close, yet so far, and the biggest adrenalin rush so far in this game, even if I wasn't the final victor :(

Off the top of my head, my favorite kill was an educational one where I helped an ECM Atlas discover that when someone starts shooting you in the RCT, you should really consider moving around rather than standing still on top of the cap. Especially when that someone has 6 MLs and peeled off all your rear armor in the first alpha.

Overall, though, the most fun I have in this game is when a team pulls together against an at least reasonably good opponent.

i think my favorite are anytime you have the surprise of an XL engine. i'm fairly good at keeping locked onto a side torso as i'm firing, so to have that POP-BOOM after barely touching other parts makes me happy.

My most satisfying kill was my first. It was on River City, and we'd set up shop on that building in the middle of the map. The other team comes moseying across the bridge, we open fire, then it seems like every weapon in the world is bursting in front and all around me. I can barely see anything. So I'm just firing everything I have in the general direction of the enemy, when all the sudden, "Revolver Kirin has killed...." I'm like "WTF!?" To be followed by much celebration as there had been a long time where I had despair of it happening. To top it off, we won the match so it was a good day all around.

I was running a CN9-AL with 1 Large Laser, 2 Medium Lasers and 2 SSRM2. Matched loaded up with Frozen City and wouldn't ya know it, yellow screen bug :( At the time I didn't know about shift+f11 so I just turned on heat vision which let me see a bit better then started headed for the center tunnel entrance.

Figured I'd get smoked pretty quick but didn't just wanna wuss out and quit so I soldiered on. After getting to the center entrace a Hunchie comes over the ridge. No idea how he was fit, maybe a swayback, couldn't really tell. We start going shot for shot. Took me a bit before I was able to fire my streaks at em, guess I had someone else targeted when I first tried. I'm sure I took a fair bit of damage but he went down first.

Now I'm feeling pretty good, given that I could barely see I still got myself a kill. I start backing up a bit as we're getting pressed on the ridge pretty hard. I turn back to the center entrance thinkin I'll just try and bypass em and cap. Well the Atlas standing there shooting at me had other plans. He must have been pretty banged up to start with because 3 alpha strikes from me and he explodes quite nicely.

Feeling really good now that I have 2 kills so I run into the tunnel to go cap and a jenner does a driveby on me and kills in less then a second :P

Ah well think I did quite well considering.

For me was actually the end of a battle when I didn't realise everything had gone wrong. The scene is the Frozen City in all its glorius blizzard conditions and its 5 of them against 3 of us but our trio have a centurion of theres pegged down in a circle of death and at 32% armour. I'm in my Cicada 3M armed with 3 MPL and 1 ML (sorry can't remember the other 2). Our base is being pinged so I turn and RUN in a hail mary while watching the end approach.

Base comes into view with a Raven shooting the afk hunchback of a friend of mine who dc'd at the black screen of death (sorry Kyan!) among much swearing on comms. As I fire my first volley at the Raven it destroys the hunchback. I'm not sure if he/she got confused by the simultaeneous explosion and my volley but they just slowly start to move.... and my second volley rips straight through his head. At this point I'm on a roll and celebrating....

Suddenly, I notice the message that one of my team mates is down and from the map its 1 vs 3 at their base. I'm getting reports from my team mates as their trio rip our last surviving medium (hunchback?) to shreds. That leaves them with a commando or cicada, centurion and jenner against my cicada.... not good! But I do know where they were so ....

CHARRRRRGGGGGEEEE!!!!!!

Whirling in over a ridge I see the centurion in front of me... not slowing I fire a full volley at his left arm and to my surprise it disintegrates. Whipping around and past I fire another volley at the unknown mech peppering his left side and desperately diving past and into the alley's.

I don't really remember most of the next two minutes but I'm ducking diving, turning and firing while desperately trying not to overheart. The centurion dies first from memory and then the cicada/commando but I'm hurting - i've been riding the heat line constantly and never staying still for a second or going in a straight line. My armour is almost non existent. Diving away I try to get some distance for my heat to drop take a sharp left ... and run slam into a wall ... as its just an alcove.

Desperately I claw myself around after a scream of frustration and horror and lurch my way out trying to get some speed out knowing the jenner must be right on me.

And they are.....

My right side lights up with my arm exploding as I desperately twist around to bring my guns to bear. A full volley plasters his torso hitting nothing important I can see and he alpha strikes me again .....

And misses....

Still desperately twisting I volley and almost cry as I fire in front of him... only for him to run right into it and explode.

Was literally shaking after but what a feeling of pleasure!
