EDIT: PGI would pry even MORE money out of my wallet if paint schemes and purchased colors were available for ALL mechs of the same type. For example, if I buy Woodland Camo with Green, Brown and Tan for a Raven 3L, that pattern and those colors would be available for all OTHER Raven variants, too. Give me the ability to do that and I'd drop another $30 on the game right now.

paintjob 2 (alpine/tundra)
paintjob 3 (desert/night)
paintjob 4 (ceremony/clan colors)
that's what I want, and I can do the colors... but don't expect me to pay for the change every freaking time I want to. change... I''ll pay upfront big if you let me have it forever.

One time sprays should be cheap impulse buys, less than $3 total. Unlocks for patterns could go for $5-10, colors for $1-2 and decals for $1-5.
Right now they are catching relatively little of the camo income that could be going their way and the only sensible fix is one that nets the most increase in revenue. I do not think it should be too confusing that for $8 I got a PC Gamer skin and 3 colors unlocked for all mechs permanently. That is basically the sweet spot for that much content.
The best possible camo spec pricing structure I can imagine is as follows.
(pay per spray CB is fine)
Crayola 8 Pack for CB only (Black, White, Red, Blue, Yellow, Orange, Green, Purple)
1 Time Spray any color and pattern combo $3 (maybe $5 for special patterns like Phranken)
Unlocks
$5 for a basic pattern like Woodland, Urban and Dazzle
$2 for a color
$10 for a special pattern like Phranken which includes its colors
$1-5 for a decal based on complexity
Now at those prices anyone who just unlocks all present options is going to spend $25 in patterns and $52 in colors. That is $77 in just 1 part of the cosmetic aspect of the game today. You could easily add 1 pattern with 3 colors per month for $9-10 in additional income. Add that to the cockpit items and the premium time and you have some serious revenue possible per player.
Unless the numbers show that there are lots of whales that are just dropping money to repaint mechs at $10 or so a pop daily they stand to make a lot more money appealing to a wider audience at a better value.

If we could keep paint jobs, and switch between them, I see no limit to the number of paint schemes I would buy, presuming they keep making good ones, and lower the prices. Like 500 MC total for camo and 3 paints.
I.E., pay for camo pattern and colors, that is saved as a set.
Same pattern, different colors, pay for them both again, but can switch between the two schemes.

I'd also spend 500MC per 'special' paints, 250MC per normal paints. If that were to be implemented I'd even be happy if there were no paints on offer for cbills.
