Yeah, I'm having the same problem. And traceroute is ending at 70.42.24.196, in the same IP block as everyone else's.

It seems like that address is owned by Internap and located in Atlanta Georgia.

The weirdest thing is that when you do a traceroute via the web from, say, Seattle, it shows the route going to Atlanta via Internap's servers in Germany (!)

Anyway, PGI, please sort out your hosting problems. The way they are routing traffic is absolutely ridiculous, and is destroying the game for many people.

im with this guy, purchased a new mobo and apu JUST to play this game and i havent been able to play one time. session timed out, session lost ect every time. tried everything everyone else has tried, check AV/firewall, reinstalled, reset router, hardline to router, saying "please". everything. ive come to the conclusion its not on my end, my build is top notch and i pay 70$ a month for my net. thing that makes me upset is when i search the forum or google, i see many many posts about this problem or something similar, but have not seen once any dev post addressing it. though maybe im wrong idk

Sitting just south of London and basically every game has dumped out with "Session Lost" (no problems all week until today).

Tired restarting game / pc / networks - nothing resolves. Dumped out 20+ times now.

Ran a trace and it times out on 70.42.24.196 like everyone else.

Interestingly (?) mainly seem to get this issue on a Sunday???

Fine all week - Friday night, hard week at work and all I want to do is play MWO but not Session lost every time!!!!

Tried renewing my IP address - didn't work.

Tried other online games - all seem fine.

Starting to lose heart and look elsewhere....

Same problem here, and my quick fix from several pages ago no longer works.

I get hung up at 70.42.24.196.

Has anyone tried calling Internap on the phone yet?

This thread has been going since feb and no dev has said squat about it. Im just coming back to this game from about 6 months away and i too have this issue, reinstalled client, ran the patcher repair checked pingblotter and sure enough it is the same IP address

Well, I am brand new and can guarantee I won't spend money on this game. Seems fun, but every other game timing out is not something I am willing to deal with. I have been playing for three days and have had about 10 games do this. I'll come back in a few weeks and see if it got better, but from the amount of posts in this thread, I won't be holding my breath.

I don't think PGI is responsible for this.. it would be better served to contact the point where the problems are (whatever node that happens to be) and actually tell them there's something wrong. You may get a better response that way.

I get it too. just attributed it to the internet and mwo not being in alignment. I kind of have crappy internet.

Well I stated to experiences this exact issue few minutes ago, all was working fine until today and then "session lost" and i keep getting kicked from game or even from the launcher itself ... hope they going to resolve this soon

Its the new chat. I have had it stop responding and wont let me type into chat unless I repeatedly click in the window. I have found that if I stay out of group window and chat, the session lost goes away in the UI.

New Patch and the Session Lost issue is back.

Very few occurences after the day of my last post (26th April) - downloaded the new patch and haven't managed more than 15 seconds in any match tonight.

Starting to lose heart and looking elsewhere for my gaming fix....

Does anyone know what the problem is, I just started this game and I can't get into any matches. The only thing I can do it go to the training grounds and that's just dull. Everytime I go to launch I get "The Session was lost" error. I've tried like ten times and still haven't got in. the farthest I got was just getting to the loading screen and that was only one time

Recent Medium Mech madness patch is causing this error for me. Ran full reinstall, ran fix, (BTW fix cleared off the home screen MWO buttons. They just light up blackness now.)

Compared to other games I played MWO probably eats up the most bandwidth. I think I average 1 mb per 1 minute of gameplay which is pretty high for an online game. I only ate up 40 mb playing 4 hours of WOW with battlegrounds and raids. Each quick game in MWO clocks in at 6 mb of bandwidth.
