Canon and unknown, actually, they are still canon and still on the Field Manual records past the fourth succession war but no command is listed for them.

That said, even if they were destroyed, which is likely, they are a canon unit with a part in battletech history and therefore ineligible for player command.

Why not try 'Presto's Axes' instead, that's a pretty good name and I think Third Flower is making nothing but great suggestions in this thread.

The Preston's Lancers, like many of the battlemech units attached to the CCAF, were formed after the Age of War (2398-2439), At no point in their history have they ever wielded lances against the foe!

There are several other player Units that have been created using Units from the Battletech Universe already with MWO so I cannot see there being an issue and at no point has a moderator said otherwise.

I joined just recently up with Preston's Lancers and found that our group is full of enthusiastic and friendly people. We have some very talented members that put effort in recreating our unit color scheme, recruitment poster and more. I myself and another member are roleplayers and look forward to find others interested in it. We hope that once fully organized we will be able to advance House Liao s cause with teamwork and determination.

So if that sounds interesting to anyone please come apply and join us.

So, as I was saying, best of luck to you gentlemen in your future recruitment. It is a shame that you chose to attack me so, and that the mods had to be called in, but I'm sure it doesn't reflect too negatively on your group. I'm sure people won't judge Presto's Lancets too harshly, even if you've been overly harsh with me ;)

I don't appreciate having to come into threads like this. You are all bound by our Code of Conduct and we have no problem whatsoever putting people on suspension/permanent ban for actions that do break the Code of Conduct. Your status in Beta/Founder/General populace does not affect the Code of Conduct and we will stand behind the choices of our selected moderators.

All of you disrupting this thread can consider this your first and final warning.

I'm sad that you posted ITTTT (In The Thread That me, myself am also making The post in) without answering my question about making canon units off limits or not, I remember the developers stating that somewhere, but maybe that only extends to important and large canon units and the smaller ones are free game?

I think a definitive answer on that would do a lot to assuage the fears of myself and many of the other people that have been posting here. We only want what's best for the Pressgang's Dancers.

Thank you for your post as it clearly shows that your intention is not to play the game of Mechwarrior Online but to make poor and immature attempts at riddiculing other players with your limited Mechwarrior knowledge and uninspiring plays on words in regards to our prestigious Units name.

I will not lower myself to your levels and reciprocate as that would firstly be rude and secondly would just create a never ending circle of unconstructive posts and counter posts which your "Made Up" group seems to thrive on.

I hope this ends your attempts to derail our threads with your "superior numbers" as once again that mearly conveys your Bullying and Aggressive stance towards this forum and its contributors.

I think another thing worth mentioning about us is that we are currently aiming to do some basic training/playing-for-fun with MW4mercs until the release of MWonline.

In all seriousness there are hundreds of units that are technically canon. Preston's Lancers are a very obscure unit with virtually no background to them, at the very least I suspect the developers will overlook us.

Isn't that Hayden's 3rd Ampy...something unit?

If yes, then you should visit Kuritan forums, where he organises it. ;)

To join the Preston's Lancers, an individual requires to be an upstanding loyal citizen of the Capellan Confederation and willing to swear their unwavering allegiance to our great chancellor Romano Liao.

One needs to be willing to lay down their life on the battlefield for our great nations cause and their fellow Capellans.

Further more a mindset that is open to teamwork and following orders on the battlefield are an integral part of any military organization to achieve the utmost best tactical outcome. But at the same time we do need our recruits to be able to think on the run and preserve the flexibility to improvise when necessary to turn the tide in battle.

As the Confederation is currently in a state of hardship due to the outcome of the last succession war, it would be seen as an act of patriotism of any new recruit that is able to supply and field their own battlemech.

With the specter of war looming ahead of us, a willingness to become more then just fellow soldiers is admirable, as we seek to be forged into a true band of brothers in arms with the desire to look out for each other on the treacherous field of battle.

If that sounds like it is for you, Preston's Lancers are open to anyone that wishes to help Chancellor Liao strengthen and protect the Capellan Confederation and I would urge you to seek enlistment with Preston's Lancers.

OC: If you want to become friends and play MWonline with a bunch of team-play-oriented people that really like House Liao (with all the good and bad that comes with it) and aim to portray a chancellor loyal unit on the field of battle, we might be just right for you.
