things to notice.

Is this true/accurate?

$60 for exp, gold/c-bills, tanks/mechs that will be wiped at release seems ill advised, imho.

If true it "APPEARS" to me that essentially come game release day what you/I have spent our $60 on was the privilege to be in the "Closed Beta".

WOT's is my only frame of reference and in Closed Beta it was made clear from day one there would be a "WIPE" at realease. However during Closed & Open Beta gold/c-bills were given to you and you could not in anyway spend any real cash.

$60 is not an issue (I have spent substantially more on WOT).

Paying for Closed Beta and flushing(WIPE) the mechs/exp/c-bills i paid for down the toilet seems rather foolish, imho.

I hope this is not the case.

The Devs have stated that there will be no wipe after July 17th.

No. There is a lot of confusion about the founders packages, beta and "early access".

Early access, is just that. Access to the live servers before anyone that does not get a Founders package deal.

The Founders package does not claim to give you access to the Beta, just to "Early access".

Standard procedure to wipe everything after Beta.

So the time line should go like this...

Beta Ends.

Server wiped.

Early access folks get in and get their founder mechs...(July 17th)

Server up with just the Early access folks.

Server opens for the rest of humanity (Launch date).

No, because there isn't an $80 package.. there is a $60 one that contains $80 worth of in-game currency. I know that there are quite a few folks going for the $60 package once it's available.

I am actually mildly annoyed that you will not be offering Operation: Inception to me as I live in the UK.

I REALLY wanted to become part of the founding of MWO more than any other game I have helped beta test.

I have purchased starter packs for beta access before and also entereed into lifetime contracts with one or 2 games for large amounts.

It pains me to know you do not plan to allow this for my area for launch.

We all from the EU and Oceania feel with you and many of us have already "threatened" to not spend moeny on the game if we will not be accomodated in any way. That said: I guess we can buy the Packs, but at the moment there is no information whether we can get our complete account with the pack bonus migrated to Regional servers later on.

Anyways, in their latest newsletter they stated:

So, hold on tight to your money but be ready to let it go!
(or start raging and flaming if they decide to alienate their Non-NA palyers fanbase. Which is what I will be doing then.)
