No you wouldn't say it to me :)

and..........how did I know this would end in an English debate.

All I am saying is when one team has obviously beaten the other have some fun, fun for both sides. Everyone that thinks they are "the big bad man", would have more fun just dueling at that point.....well unless they are scared to (obvious).

No it's more like, just finish it and move on to the next match. Sorry watching 2 people duel is not fun.

Nope, I still like challenge in the setup. People should have a chance. Just once setup if one victory condition is destroy all enemies and it is teh easiest to do, I will do what I can to ensure such happens even if some people are trying to duel.

Mercenary mindset. Actually it makes the game more interesting - some people want to roleplay XXX century knights while other want to just score victory. Diversity like this is awesome.

Honor...
What's that? Can you eat it?

With this current format of the game it won't happen.
If we had custom servers to rent, a Solaris 1v1 duel pit, or something like that then sure.

You can't eat your honor either. So I don't get what you are getting. As I said before, It's not fun watching 2 people duel. I will kill the enemy and move on to what is fun for me, which is playing an actual match.

And that is fine you are entitled to your opinion, even if it is boring and not germane to the game. Look there are only 16 players max each game that is hugely small for a online multi-player game, add in the fact that there is liek 30 years of history to this game and there should be a large number of people that would be willing to duel at the end of a match, especial if there was 8 vs. 2.

Actually, history of the IS, you don't typically duel after a battle. IS are not clanners and don't stick to such a rigid code of honor typically. Christ they had to have a 3rd party step in and say "Stop nuking everything!" The only thing honorable they must do is not destroy infrastructure and manufacturing centers (I believe).

Welcome to the inner sphere.
If you don't like it go to Clanwarrior Online.

On the other hand if you arw 2 vs 6 it is a great trick to call your enemy for honor ... then kill them.
I just wish we had an Axeman - you could get cockpit to cockpit and "negotiate" :)

First don't call me son.
Secondly oh how silly of me, I should have added a pic as a reply instead of using text.
Not belitting you, but rather how some forum-goers reply to threads like these: :D

Now onto the rest of my reply.
And we're in agreement at this. The game should be about fun, but at the moment it is currently geared as a "Shoot shoot pew pew team kill" type of game.

Maybe they will add in something for individual duels, heck they've talked about the Game World Solaris VII. I for one love the idea of that world.

However at the moment it won't be available.
Please take a deep breath and remember this is still growing. I've been impatient for Community Warfare, so we all have something in the wish list. :)

I am, but you are the one that brought up honor and the history of the franchise both of which didn't help your point at all.

Actually there are5 several hundred years of history of violence:

In 244 there were about 14 years of what you could call peace.

Honor: The system of conduct that gets people killed for pride and other relatively non beneficial ideals.

I like winning, and losing as few people as possible. I'm not a clanner.

If I could invite you people to fight me in a swamp, I'd do it and show up with hover tanks.

That all said, I stayed -postdeath- and watched the two remaining teammembers (an Atlas and a Phract) defend position against a 5man wave (pult, ravn, stalker, and two biggies). Everyone was damaged and they didn't all come at once (so it's a little moot), but those two made me an extra 30,000+ salvage that I wouldn't otherwise had. I'm pretty sure they could've wiped the floor via an honor duel, so I can understand people avoiding..but they didn't ask for one.

I'd love to see them requested more often, it'd be cool
