I think I took care of that earlier - you may need to log out of Guild Portal and back in. If you still can't see the Member forums at that point please let me know and I'll take a deeper look.

Really enjoyed the practice last night, and am looking forward to tonight's. If only work didn't go by so slowly. Hopefully I'll keep upping my game, Crazy Canuck's pointers helped a bit. Granted it was 1 on 5 (I think) at that point, but I did better in that situation than I normally would have. My wife's out of town, but she plans to apply when she gets back next Friday. She's never played Mechwarrior (only mmorpgs) but wants to give LRM fire support a go. Glad I joined, see everyone tonight at practice.

Hi,
I'm Acre's wife, I'll apply for membership tonight, but I won't be able to play until next Friday at the earliest. I've never played Mechwarrior before, so I'm hoping you guys are patient enough to teach me. I am probably going to start with long-range fire support, since it seems to have the easiest learning curve.

Start with MW4. Play through the campaign. It will get you learning the basics without putting too much pressure on you.

I'll be on Vent before and after baseball tonight if anyone wants to chit chat or share stories on shooting Dhamone and Bandit in the back.

I'll probably be on at some point. I have to finish a stone path I've been building in the yard.

Practice!

Why can't all the things I want to get better at be as enthralling as piloting a Battlemech?

Apparently Acre discovered WD-40 last night, because a lot of rust seemed to get knocked off.

I like pressure and WD-40. Didn't read this whole thread but I did apply on your guildportal site. Who's this ArrogantFool that likes close range combat, does he know how expensive a single mech is? Doubt the insurance companies carry collision for one hundred and ten tons of fun...

Hey guys! I've been out of the loop for a bit, got married and all that good stuff in the last month..... Wife is already resigned to becoming a mechwarrior widow come Aug. 7th..... How are the practice sessions going? I have been dusting off the old mech skills in my free time, cough cough..... just haven't been in on any organized MW4 matches.... Can't wait to see everyone in game soon!

We tried to tell him, but we can't penetrate the barrier that surrounds him while he is in his perpetual EVIL GRIN of Destruction Mode. If you find a way to circumvent it please let us know as soon as possible. Our current Insurance Provider is thus far unaware of his Gross Appetite for wanting destruction. I've tried to imprint the Canadian way of Polite Diplomacy, but I'm not sure it's sinkning in.

I cannot comprehend how you managed to do that with a straight face. Generally your "imprint" is the grill of your mech.

Not everyone enjoys the fine art of Bowling. And I "almost" said it with a straight face. A few giggles might have slipped through the cracks.

I had tried to make a signature with a picture but it seems to require more than just paint skills...

Guild Portal has a banner maker under the profile that might make things easier for you.

Don't worry, I tried making my own sig as well. Lets just say it didn't work out well, hence the guildportal one.
