So, what are you crying about again?
You do understand that some values are higher than others? Opportunity cost and all that? If I make 25,000 every 4 minutes, sure, I technically *make* money... but if I could have been making 75,000 every 8 minutes, then comparatively, I actually lose 25,000 every 8 minutes. For the same amount of time invested, 50,000 is less than 75,000.
In any case, if you've read my post (which I assume you did, since you quoted it), you'll notice I only mentioned C-bills as an afterthought. But for the sake of clarity, I guess I can make a tl;dr version:
I don't like being kicked out of matches just as they're starting to get interesting.
I think that's a perfectly valid complaint.
PGI, please include a deathmatch option ASAP.
Players, please remember there there are two ways to win Assault. I urge you to pick the one that's fun, rewarding and maximizes play time over the one that's boring, selfish, maximizes wait time and loading screens, and doesn't even grant a better chance of winning anyway. Oh, and that's assuming you prioritize winning over fun... losing a match doesn't mean it wasn't fun to play, in fact dangerous situations give you a much better opportunity to shine. A cap win might very well be worse than a loss.

Rewarding what? If I forego capping and we wind up losing....

A match can continue after a cap (or in Conquest, a resource) victory, but not after a kill victory. The result is locked in (so the cap-losing side can't cap to even things up, but they can recover on kills) resulting in seven different victory "profiles" you could achieve:
-Decisive Victory: Winning both on cap and kills.
-Tactical Victory: Winning on cap, but time limit on kills.
-Minor Victory: Winning on kills before any cap happens.
-Draw: Winning on cap, but losing on kills; losing on cap, but winning on kills; or time limit before any cap happens.
-Minor Defeat: Losing on kills before any cap happens.
-Tactical Defeat: Losing on cap, and time limit on kills.
-Crushing Defeat: Losing both on cap and kills.
This would make objective-based combat better than TDM, without removing the ability to TDM, or losing interesting battles to a cap. It also means that a cap-winning side still has to work to maintain their victory, be that by running away or by defeating the enemy.
Thoughts? Opinions? I should be sealed away within a gauss slug and fired into the face of a Jenner?

How often do you see that? Do you really think, light pilots like to stand around, waiting for a glowing bar to fill up?
I play this game to blow up mechs. It is never my goal to "ninjacap", its just one of my options in a fight and i will use it if needed. It is one of many tactics that i use, especially when i see a premade team on the other side. If you cant outgun them, outrun them.

Assault is redundant, what the game would need to spice things up is deathmatch and conquest.
That said, I see more assault matches won by capping than conquest matches. If that's not f**ked up I don't know what is.

I'll be capping early in the game with my 149.3 kph Cicada to drawsome of their forces back, and always get some jerkoff going "god why are you capping noob, theres no point."
Yes there is, to win. Either by capping your base or drawing some of your teammates away from the fight so the main force is weakened in the major engagement.

It's also quite fun to steal a win, where you're down 1-7 and none of the opposing team bothers to return to base.
It is annoying however when both teams try to cap ASAP without a single shot fired in anger after running around the side of a mountain in caustic valley for 5 minutes.

And how many times have you been caught and destroyed by over extending yourself just so you can get the "VICTORY" text on the splash screen, giving your mates 1 mech down in the fight?
"VICTOY"
Man, I never knew that text was so valuable to certain gamer types.
Are these the same people who got locked in the closet when they lost in a sports activity in elementary school?
!MUST WIN MUST WIN!!!
Play to win, but don't sacrifice the integrity and spirit of the game while doing so. ie. Tunnel vision winaholics or exploiters.

Wow,you seem to be completely missing the point.
If someone is capping your base and your team doesn't send anyone back to deal with it its your teams fault for being lazy or oblivious to the base under attack warning.
If someone leaves the main group to start a cap the chances are he will be outnumbered if the enemy responds, yes he is over extended, but its not to get a quick victory or see the VICTORY message as you claim,it is to pull enemy mechs from the main group, making the fight a bit easier for his own team, but Juan said this which you seemed to ignore.

No yelling, cursing, or gnashing of teeth is going to cause players to play a capture the flag mode as anything other than capture the flag w/ mechs. Might as well deal with it and roll on.
