I'm going to use a Thrustmaster HOTAS Warthog with Saitek PZ35 peddles.

Does anybody know a good set of peddles with some kind of heel button? I've heard that something like this exists (and it would be AWESOME for JumpJets) but I haven't been able to find one.

Saitek makes another set of pedals like yours with toe brakes, Simped makes a set of pedals to match the quality of your stick, available from leacom (when in stock) with toe brakes as well.

Oh they're called breaks. LOL I looked for hours and must have went over several that had the feature I was looking for. I blame lack of sleep!

The peddles I mentioned actually have it, in fact. I can't believe I wasted all that time looking for a feature that I'd already found. Now I feel like a complete, utter moron.

You are welcome,
keep in mind they are "brakes", now get some sleep. ;)

Have to see what the controls are like, if I ever get rid of the "Pending". lol

For FPS's I ususally stick with Mouse and Keyboard. Since my mouse is an Old Trackman Marble and I love the thing. and can aim pretty dam fast with it.

If not, I have my old trusty Log' Extreme 3D Pro to use. I just use it for Jet and Chopper's in BF3 right now.

I'll probably be using my Logitech Extreme 3D Pro, though depending on how the controls are with out it I might stick with mouse and keyboard. Will have to wait and see.

I have a Sidewinder Precision 2 which I bought to replace my old Thrustmaster joystick, foot pedals, and lefthand throtal/weapons stick combo. The sidewinder works great. Rudder control or torso turn is a simple twist of the stick. Ok, I don't have 20-some action buttons anymore but I have 8 for 50 bucks verses 400 bucks and it doesn't have pesky foot pedals which always wear out first.

I will use my old MS Sidewinder Presicion 2. Probably one of the best Joysticks ever build. Not the best looking one, but extreme quality and presicion.

But in case that the last "new" ones are over 10 years old - today you have only the choice for Saitek X-52 pro or Thrustmaster T-16000

Logitech Extreme 3D Pro. As has alrady been pointed out is not exactly fancy, but it gets the job done well. Mine has seen hundreds of hours on all three MW4 games, More than a few gun blazing campaign play throughs of the original Crimson Skies, and it's proven reliable in WoWp alpha and beta. Still I'm drooling over the prospect of getting a Razor Artemis eventually, provided it get's good reviews.

Heya guys new on the forums but that is not important. I too have a Steel battalion controller gathering dust on top of my wardrobe and I was wondering if anyone knew of how I might get it hooked up to a PC.

It would be great for this game me thinks :3

or else ill have to be boring and use my old sidewinder precision 2. That has no where near 40 buttons.

Well, I've got an x52, but for MWO I'm wondering if mouse and keyboard may be better...

I'll be using a highly modified Thrustmaster Cougar: http://imgur.com/a/ixi64 The gimbal moves in pitch/azimuth, and I made it just for mech piloting. It has no return springs, nor center detents. Instead, it has ball bearings and adjustable friction slides, so it moves like a Swiss watch but when I let go of my stick it stays in that exact position... The pots are being replaced with Hall sensors as well. On top of that, I am going to use Crescent Fresh's wonderful mouse emulator script for TARGET.
http://mwomercs.com/...881#entry924881
So long as TARGET is running the script, the game will think it's a keyboard/mouse, a condition I can live with until real support is here. In the meantime, for those who say a mouse is superior, I say whynotboth.jpg?

Using my Saitek X-65F Combat Control System which I really like.

Matches often look like this...

Action starts at around 1:20 - Cut off the remaining 3min after I died because of Teammembers featuring no aim and fear of crimson red enemy center torsos.

... Or this

If you can, ignore the music while watching me headshotting an Awesome, a Huchback and an Atlas.

There is a topic in this forum relating to steel batallion integration done by HacknFly and von Pilsner among others. They done some amazing work to use this controller and i will definitely be using it .(When i Build a gaming rig lol)

I just have a Saitek AV8R-01. It has lots of little controls so I might not need the keyboard

Any luck getting the AV8R-01 set up to run MWO?

I tried mapping the SST software to keystrokes... doesn't seem to do much.
Forward...Stop... ok... turning was reversed...No buttons worked.

inserted:
cl_joystick_gain = 8
thru...
cl_joystick_deadzone = 0.1

into user.cfg

more functionality, but steering (esp TT) is bad

tips? tweaks? please?
