Unarmed as in, without weapons. Weapons are also called arms. Cops can't shoot an unarmed person... IT'S A PUN OKAY?!

A pun is its own reword.

"Pretty Pony" - Zero kills, 6+ assists, no damage taken
"The Diplomat" - Zero damage done but spotted every opponent
"NEED MOAR DAKKA!" - Equip only Ballistics weapons and use all ammo before the end of the match

Wouldn't that be more like "Bringin' the A-game"?

g1 OP
I love tribes ascend tdm . Half the reason is because of all this kinda stuff in that game. I enjoy all the shazbot and whohoo, its almost NEVEr annoying and adds to the fun. Getting a little mention at the end of match is always a good touch psychologically for player retention.
+1 for blue plate specials.

Fire-for-Effect: Kill at least 3 enemy 'Mechs with LRM indirect fire while having never had LoS on them.
Danger Close*: Kill an enemy 'Mech while taking at least 15% damage from friendly LRMs locked on to the same 'Mech.
Unwitting Shield*: Enemy LRMs or Streak SRMs that are locked on to you kill an enemy 'Mech instead.
Who needs guidance systems?*: Kill an enemy 'Mech with LRMs without having ever got a lock on that 'Mech.
Last Man Standing: Win by killing against at least 3 enemy 'Mechs after the rest of your team has been destroyed.
Worth it!: Kill the last enemy 'Mech, but die from heat induced ammo explosion, your team must win.
Pyrrhic Victory: Same as "Worth it!", but the match ends in a draw.
More than one path to victory: As the last 'Mech on your team, win a match without killing the rest of the other team.
SAM-man*: Kill a jump jetting 'Mech with any missile weapon.
What do you mean it's not an aerospace fighter?!: Kill a jump enemy 'Mech while jumping yourself.
DENIED!!!*: Kill an enemy on your base in Assault game type with 5% or less of base cap remaining. You must be outside the the capture zone when you do so.
Missile Magnet: Have at least 400 missiles fired at you that either strike or are locked on during a match and survive the match (SRMs only count towards the 400 if they hit you)
Magic Bullet*: Destroy 3 or more components with a single shot from one weapon. Destruction caused to multiple components by an ammo explosion counts.
Death Wish: After taking a hit to the head that causes an ammo explosion get at least one kill with a direct fire weapon and survive the match. (This happened to me today so it can be done)

*Can be awarded multiple times in the same match to a single player just like a spotting bonus

Slacker -- Do no damage for the full first half of the match.
Prepared for Apocalypse -- Have at least 10 tons of ammo on your mech.
Can't aim worth **** -- Use up at least 10 tons of ammo in a match.

Hahaha, thats a really cool idea. Would love to have that in the game someday!

Even if the outcome was grim, at the end there is something to smile at.

The list the threadstarter made, is already very good. But i would limit the numbers of categories to 20 or so.
More and it becomes overcrowded and gives birth to pointless sub-categories.

But i love it! Developers, please implement! :)

Atlas Shrugged: Blow off both the left and right torso's of an Atlas, but don't get the kill shot.

Atlas'ed: In a loss, take fire from at least 4 atlases (including your own team), be the last one to die on your team (via a shot by an atlas), and have at least a 30 second interval between your death and the last death of one of your team-mates.

Thanks for all the great additions, everyone! This really took off much more than I thought it would :)

Cloud Atlas -- In an Atlas, kill a flying mech while you are in midair. (Yes, this requires you falling off of a cliff. Probably a large one.)

Blue Sphere Special -- All kill shots you make are done with a PPC or ER PPC.
Specialist -- Only fire one type of weapon during the match. (IE, only small lasers, or only large lasers, or only AC/2, etc.)
A-Team Recruit -- Highest number of shots fired, lowest amount of damage taken, and most enemies killed.
WARP SPEED -- Engage MASC while traveling at top speed for your mech. ('Top Speed' means you have the largest engine, at full throttle, with speed tweak.)
Smuggler -- Shield at least 3 of your teammates in your ECM bubble, and make it all the way to the enemy base without any of you being spotted. None of those teammate can have ECM themselves. (And if you do it in 2 minutes or less, it's a 'Kessel Run')

"Custers Last Stand!" - Solo kill 4+ enemy Mechs and still lose the Match. :P

This is good, and has captured seemingly everyone's imagination but PLEASE do not make these "Achievements".

I hates thems.

I wouldn't mind some of these becoming achievements (per-match, not permanent ones like on steam), but most of these are (for me at least), just for laughs.

I really like the idea of a shazbot announcement when some of the more mid-game achievements are achieved, with a medals list at the end. I think if we call them "medals" instead of "achievements" people will know that they aren't permanent achievements, but instead something just for that game, and something, which is more incidental/informational than an achievement.

i think that would be a much better show of pilot skill than KD or WL. i would like to have a page that shows how many times i have caught enemies completely unaware or how many times i have pulled the team back from the brink.

i totally agree if they add these they should be something like trophies that can be earned and re-earned every match.

and another submission:

"doesn't he care that he is exploding?"- kill an enemy while suffering from an ammo explosion.

"Brought a knife to a gun fight" - majority of damage is done by machine gun/SL/SPL/MPL, no kills
"Brought a sniper rifle to a knife fight" - All weapons have 600m+ range, and die to machine gun/SL/SPL

The Humiliated -- Killed by a machine gun or a flamer.
The Humiliator -- Kill an enemy with a machine gun or a flamer.

Using the Terrain -- Kill an enemy by forcing them to overheat on Caustic Valley. (Weapons that transfer heat are: PPC, ER PPC, flamer)
Screw the Terrain! -- Kill an enemy by forcing them to overheat on Frozen City or Frozen City Night. (Weapons that transfer heat are: PPC, ER PPC, flamer)

Dude, where's my mech? -- Your mech has red damage across all of its remaining internals, and the remaining parts are all destroyed at the same time. (The odds of this happening are extremely low, but, statistically, still possible. This would be most likely to occur when you only have a head, a CT, one leg, and a standard engine; it would be least likely to occur if you have a head, both arms, all 3 torsos, both legs, and an XL engine.)

Surgical skill -- Take apart an enemy mech one section at a time until you kill it. You must destroy 3 sections before you kill the mech. The last section destroyed can be the one which kills it. (Meaning: if your first shot hits the left arm, then until that arm is destroyed, that is the only point on the enemy mech that you damage. Then you would move on to the next part. This would be easiest with pulse lasers, I'm guessing.)

(It's getting difficult to think of new ones now. My first few posts were friggin full of them.)
