That could very well end up being the case, but I am really hoping that it isn't, and we get some nice meaty responses from the Devs today. If not, then I'll will never expect anymore serious or useful information from the Ask The Devs forum and just stop paying attention to it.

Thanks for your questions everyone! Answers will be posted next Monday before the end of the day!




N.B: As previously mentioned by Garth, there's a change to the formula. There will be now 5 questions answered, every two weeks, with large, essay-like format! Since Garth is now more busy with, among other things, the Twitch.Tv events, we will help him to select the questions.

So here's how we will schedule the Ask a Dev in the future:
Monday#1: Ask a Dev is open, post your questions!
Monday#2: We will lock the thread and gather questions!
Friday: Ask a Dev - Answer is out!
Monday#3: Repeat!

Which is is Monday or Friday? Considering its after 8pm central time which is 6pm Pacific. I assume we are waiting until Friday for the Stephen King novel answers. Which I still don't get and think is dumb as hell. Let's spend all this time typing out long replies full of $%#@$ that no one cares about or let's answer all or most of peoples questions with short to the point answers. hmmmmm which to do.......

20 minutes to go, but I bet there won't be anything. They can't deliver a sh*t in time. Not any Monday news either.

Oh, I know, they're all pretty busy preparing an OH SO BIG patch for tomorrow (a fix of maybe one bug, minor content addition of an MC-only Crapmando and nothing of goods promised for PREVIOUS patch like netcode fixes or UI improvements). Probably Garth (who's COMMUNITY MANAGER, not some code monkey) is involved too - this explains both their code quality and the absense of promised answers.

deadlines slipping doesn't bother me all that much - we are all human and sometimes we make promises we can't keep

what really bothers me however is that no one at PGI or IGP (even those whose jobs seem to be solely to communicate with customers) can be bothered to come on the forum and say "I know we said this, but it's been delayed and will be... sometime"

Doubtful. More likely, they'll just be reminded "Oh yeah, we were supposed to brush off some more ECM questions and elaborate on our favorite foods yesterday, weren't we?"
