You, sir, need to start an external site with the sole goal of identifying these players and getting them banned. Tracking when they are reported, how many times they are reported, collecting all evidence (screenshots and fraps only) and links to sites, etc. Then PGI can't silence you or call it "name and shame."

No one will stop anyone from creating such a site. But nobody would be allowed to advertise it in the MWO forums, as that would again violate the name and shame rules.

@all
Please stop telling people how to find aimbots or cheats. Next time I see it, I will close the whole thread, instead of only removing the one post.

Yeah, just a little more clarity to what is impossible would be helpful. ;)

;) We know about the magic mouse that you can program to fire at certain inverals, and so can you learn to fire at the same rate after a lot of practice.

You can fire an UAC5 every 1.1s without it ever jamming.

Even if you fire the extra shot within that time there is no guarantee it will jam, ever!
Yet highly unlikely it will not. 25% jamming chance.

Are we sure about this? I've had it jam on single fire with several seconds between shots..

Not to mention the Disconnecters (people who wait for the game to just start, and then leave without saying a word. I think it's a computer who is programed to run into a match and disconnect and then jump into another match with a different mech and disconnect, so that the owning party can earn C-bills while away from the game
That is about 1000 times as prevalent as all the other things you mention combined. The number of times I've experienced wierd hits and kills is maybe 2-3 out of over 1000 matches. Disconnect bots happen as often as every other battle in the late night hours. 7v8, 6v8, 6v7 are pretty common occurances if you play after most everyone else is in bed. When you see the same or similar names DCing every match all night, you know its either a hired power leveller or a bot.

Some updates on the most common concerns for cheating:

Farming:

This is partly why the economy was altered recently we have a lot of telemetry on farming and we can assure you that it is rapidly dying out after the economy changes and also because as we track it better now many bans have been handed out already for farming. Like I say this is rapidly dying out.

Aimbots:

While aimbots are possible they are of limited use in MWO and again we have increasing amounts of telemetry on users aim ratios etc. players with unusually high stats are regularly looked at and if found to be cheating can expect a ban coming their way. As we've repeatedly stated we take cheating very seriously and track it more and more effectively each patch, so cheaters days are numbered.

If you see users you suspect of farming/aimbots etc. the best thing you can do is report them to support with as much detail to help us track them down and if we confirm cheating they will be banned.

I had a friend who is into the FPS games - he is weaksauce and allways cheats.
He had something that located enemy players using the sound of their footsteps...

They're called headphones. I've used surround sound or headphones for over a decade. You think people who got good at quake did so because they were good at shooting? That's part of it, but the other parts, the more important parts, are spatial awareness and the timing relating to it.

Steps are also being taken to address high rates of disconnecting.

He probably means that an other player can not crash your client when you get a killchance on him.

It's rare. I've played a crapload of matches. The one time I can truly say I was getting cheated was I had one guy firing a Gaussapalt and I got cored at 1000+ meters. Now before anyone can say, "Oh yes, that is possible..."

I was behind a hill. In full cover.

You can't tell me I wasn't being hacked there in that game.

It however was reported and that person was banned.

If you use altered gamefiles, cfgs or cheats to make sound available to you that gives you the position of players you are not meant to hear by the developers it is a cheat.
