All I know, it's good to be back on the forums. Posting 2200 miles away from home on an ipod at 2-3cps (characters per second) is no way to post. When I was on the flight back home I watched this one girl with 1 thumb on her iPhone type at about 80x that.

2. There are so many table top'ers and Battletech purist that I feel us gamers that sit somewhere between MW4 & Microsoft Flight Simulator deserve a voice. I have been known to be honest and straight forward about my feelings, and if someone like myself isn't there to add to the conversation with hands on experience, our voice will get drowned out by the many Battletech Table Top bible pushers. In the end it is a video game after all and some things will not scale properly from one medium to the other. This is not to take away anything from the table top, but to help accentuate the designed product and improve it for everyone not just one side or the other.
3. "Mechs everywhere going Pew Pew" need I say more on that?

In all honesty, I can't even remember the EXACT thing I did that rubbed Paul like a cheesegrater on sunburned skin, but I stand by it.

I want this game to live up to everything I ever dreamed the next mechwarrior game would be. . years before they announced MWO. I want it to be polished and perfect, and if I can help in some small way to make that a reality, I would be both honored and humbled.
I'm also dying to put it through the paces on my new rig, which I INSANELY overbuilt and am currently using to play simpler games like WoW, D3, and some various steam titles. I think my dual 7950s are bored, tbh ; )
At the core though, I want to be in the beta because mechwarrior is something I've loved for a long time, and I'm anxious to rekindle that love. Having a hand in to help shape it is just the icing on the cake

I'm Software Quality Engineer by trade and would generally prefer not to come home and do more or less the same thing I do at work. However, I'd be genuinely excited to help out with this game.

I love the MechWarrior games - always have. I would like to help make sure this one comes out at release with good balance, fitting the devs vision of different mech classes complimenting eachother and working in tandem to succeed.
I would also like to help provide control feedback, as some things in past games were better or worse from one game to another. Not just the controls: also the way the weapons function, the mechlab, etc.
I am also eager to play period: I have been waiting too long for a massive, online MechWarrior game!
I am already in the process of upgrading to ensure my system can handle this if I get a beta invite, or when the open beta comes up. New motherboard / CPU / RAM arriving tomorrow, new joystick / throttle setup next week
