No but really. Aside from Sarna, how many of you guys are going to rock a spider day one? I mean, the thing has wings, speed and not much else.
How on earth, looking at sarna, are these things going to viable without Lagshield?
I want to know your thoughts, hopes, dreams on the Spider invasion.

I too look forward to tuesday when there will be even more metal babbies to murder.
Remember, friends don't let friends buy terribad light mechs.

For all those talking about what mechs have a better loadout and the CT mounts nerfing it. Yeah well the raven doesn't do anything if it loses its arms. Spider loses its arms and side torsos and it does everything as if you never touched it. Ok, doesn't jump as far, big deal.
The Spider soaks damage like you wouldn't beleive if run right. I always used one for a light in TT. Like the one poster said, slap Tag on the thing and the LRM boats will love you.
How many times do you see a raven live a significant amount of time after losing an arm? its profile means that the arm being damaged almost certainly means some splash hitting the side torso. Speaking of which, spider with no side torso will be just as dead as almost any other light since XLs are nearly standard for small mechs.

i am a heavy mech pilot for the most part, and i am happy that i finally got the basics for my Ravens done...enough light meching for the next weeks
but i am looking forward to "spider farm" a bit tomorrow^^ most likely also means, that there will be much less ECM Ravens on the fields...

You mean...a Jenner? The fact that you didn't even know that shows how extinct (aside from me and a few other dedicated pilots) that mech has gotten.

30 ton mech with 2 medium lasers in the CT leaves a lot of extra tonnage for a big standard engine. It'll be a zombie mech on the most part.
The varient that might have a arm and ct mount may be the only one that goes XL if someone wants to run a PPC and large laser in it.
