Looks like thy Dev don't like User paying for Mc or Prim time.
No cash from me this week again.
You want my money then do better than you have.
No new maps No net-code fix just BS about doing it some time down the road.

This update is a Joke and no more Cash for PGI from me until they Start putting out content for their Game.

Oh wow they made the patch/play button bigger and the status bar a little bigger as well. Glad that took them a couple of months to achieve...

ECM counters already exist and more were just added, that's what the sensor range and target delay modules do, as already pointed out, the rank 1 sensor range module lets you target ECM Mechs at 230m, but since it's useless and no one uses it, like BAP(which also increases sensor range and stacks with the modules), none of you NOTICED this. Target delay will also let you keep them targeted longer, so...we have more then just ECM to counter ECM boys and girls, your lack of using the tools is NOT PGI's fault, it's your own. Seriously, did none of you get the message from PGI already, ECM is WAI? They said that because they already had tools ingame to help combat ECM like the sensor range module and BAP, which you all claim are useless, and they knew they were adding MORE modules that help counter ECM and there's MORE modules still to come in the future.

Now, the Spider getting ECM, that's a surprise to me, didn't think we'd be seeing that, but it's logical, it is a 30 tonner with pissall for weapons, Scout/Recon is it's primary job if there's no infantry to play with after all. We can hope they fixed JJ to work properly and just failed to list that..if not..well, at least 1 of the Spiders has ECM right? Come on PGI, get the JJ's working properly again please, otherwise what the hell is the point of adding the Spider, a Mech that's claim to fame IS it's ability to jump over tall buildings and Atlases with a single bound!

And wtf, Spiders can move TOO fast for the netcode? Oh come on! That's just fracking stupid to release a Mech that you KNOW you'll probably have to pull because it fubar's the netcode, seriously, WTF?

New camo..eh..that's nice, make camo's cbill purchases instead of MC and I'll be excited, as will a LOT of other people. As it stands, MC for the paint jobs, I'm really glad I got the PC Gamer skin so I can at least get a black on my Mechs since SRM's colors are blue/black with a 3rd color that's personally dictated. The blue we can buy with cbills isn't the proper blue but it works, mainly because the blue you buy with MC isn't proper either. Come on PGI, give us a complete color wheel of cbill colors to pick from.

Ambient temps working on 2 maps we THOUGHT they were already working on..ok..either we'll run much cooler on those maps OR we'll run hotter..have to wait and see.

Where's Phase III for Match Making? I know the MGun/flamer/LBx changes are actually supposed to be the end of Jan, so I'm not upset they didn't make it, same with the changes to PPC/ER weapons, also mentioned they would be end of month. Phase III though, that was supposed to be this patch..come on, I don't have the complaints other do about pugs/premades but I DO dislike the current 8 man system, nothing like dropping a good solid 2 lances of mixed Mechs and run into 8 Raven 3Ls(which, btw, was a sad day for them and funny as hell to us). It's a little difficult..strike that..it's ******* IMPOSSIBLE to start to develop Lance set ups with this current system due to the fact that certain groups continue to try and exploit and grief by doing stupid things like 8 Raven 3Ls or 8 Atlas D-DCs. Come on, get Phase III online already.

Sensor range was my favourite module some time ago. These days I only equip it if I have module space left.
I would have cheered at the enhancement some time ago.

But now, with ECM, what's its use?

In reading every post in this thread I continue to see so many people who have been dissapointed with this game for months. If that's the case then nothing PGI can do or has done will satisfy you. Since your satisfaction will never be sated, maybe it's time for you to move on to something else. Seriously, give it some thought. You can obviously read the patch notes PGI gives out here and via email. Use them as a gauge as to when you'd like to return if at all.

So when the company throws out a huge screw you to us maybe he should just not make it worse

The spider configs are kind of messed up. They have the ECM on the variant with the most equipment. 8 JJ, 3 MLs and yet the next variant has 6 JJ 2 MGs and one ML seems underpowered, last variant has 8 JJ with a max of 12 and just 2 ML in the CT. Seems like an odd choice?!?!

Patching now so I will with hold major judgement until further notice. Upon reading the patch notes I was extremely underwhelmed and now looking at the patch size it appears not to be large enough for ANY major Content other than a new EMC mech like smak in the Buttox style patch.

Glad to see that the website came back up with what fix, The Radio chatter is still dumb and non relevant, has been complained about for months yet it LIVES \/\/e\/\/T, sort of like all the pages of complaints i see that have yet to be answered.

Promises were made yes, but no time frame as to when they will be given has been told to anyone. Remeber that every time you see those notes. Hopefully you'll find it less annoying when you didn't get what you wanted.

Maybe it's a secret ploy from the developers to stress test their netcode somehow by encouraging people to play 140kph+ ecm mechs as much as possible. Currently you can choose between four of them. :P

Well being most my matches are sans ECM I'll be boosting my sensor range

Bit of a disappointing patch to be honest. They've been talking up these new maps for such awhile now it seems ridiculous that Alpine didn't make it in.

Neither MG or ECM tweaks made it. Bummer.

Hero mech "announced."

Pretty meh. The moduals are nice, and it's good to see another camo (I appreciate that they have to make patterns for each mech, but they should work on getting them out quicker, both for us players and their bankroll) but kinda underwhelming.

Well, it's kinda hard to say untill you can determine what exactly 12 JJ will do.
