We have added a few new Modules to boost your Target information that I am sure will be popular, Target Decay Rank 1 and 2, as well as Sensor Range Rank 2. A must for those LRM boats still feeling the pain from ECM.

i feel the Pain from ECM, but with the new shiny Modules i now can finaly......... O wait..... i still cant target em.

I think these modules will push me back to using an ECM 3L or DDC. They only benefit me more if I take them doing such, and if I don't take the 3L/DDC I will be far more prone to being targeted with all of these on the field.

It's made ECM more useful/essential. But if ECM was nerfed then it would be LRM online again.

Ok, not a bad patch, but no fix yet for PPC's and ERPPC's with regards to heat or ECM effects makes me a sad panda.

:P

But on the whole...an ok patch.

not impressed with first pass thru the patch notes.......actually pretty disappointed, with all the problems we have so far.....they add a mech to exploit 2 of them.....

I swear the DEVs are not actually playing the same game as us "crash test dummies"

We're still in BETA. We are indeed crash test dummies. It's what you signed on for when you accepted the beta invite.

You do understand that every time you close down a thread because you don't like what's being said, that topic goes on the forums elsewhere, right? Censoring people is just hurting you worse.

Not impressed.

Actually disappointed.

No weapons balance changes.

No matchmaking phase 3.

No netcode fixes.

But hey.... we got a mech that has been ready for 3 months and a new camo skin.

Time for a break from MWO.

I'm with you on this one. WIth the amount of complaining and bad press the game is generating due to lag and warping, the fact that they put a mech into the game that exemplified the problem in the "testing" area is mind boggling. I fear it will only exacerbate the issue and make PGI look bad when they either have to nerf it into worthlessness or remove it temporarily. This game isn't as close to death as people claim, but there are niches and roles that could be better filled with other already announced mechs.

People already complain about ECM and lag shielded lights. These are not new problems. Why they chose to add another at this stage of development is beyond me.

What patch?
I remember something about a big patch coming in the middle of January.
I checked out the patch notes for today and reset the date on my computer to January 8th.

So the big patch is still coming on the 15th as promised. Right?

I highly doubt you understand the complications of the "netcode" errors PGI has to deal with. Nor have you or any of us have had time to test the updated code they've implemented with this patch. So stop with the "Sky is falling" whine please, it's unnecessary and currently unfounded.

Hm okay. This is underwhelming.

I have expected one of the aforementioned important thing (matchmaking, new map, ecm tweak, some weapons tweaks).

I closed a thread down because it was a duplicate complaint thread, and as such violated the CoC.

I am not censoring anyone, as I wrote in that closed thread to continue the discussion here.

Because most of the people who post here, post in blind rage. Emphasis on the word "blind".

I see that the forums have wasted no time in whining about new ECM mechs.

I mean, the mech isn't even in the game yet, why not start complaining about it.

odd though that the more complaining I read the more Lagging Lights I see! Correlation?

It is about what I expected. I just wish they gave details on the bug fixes and such. That stuff takes the most time and is the most under-appreciated. It was less than I was expecting but I am withholding judgement until I see how the patch works. After the stability increase after the last patch I am hopeful.

No weapons/ECM tweaks, no netcode fixes. Still have to pay MC every time you want to repaint your mech I suppose. Disappointing to say the least!

But hey on the plus side we get another lagshielded light mech to shoot at and some fancy camo to spend more MC on. I imagine we have to spend MC for every varient of every chassis we want to paint as well?

This is becoming increasingly frustrating and boring. I suppose the real disappointment is the predictability of the disappointment.

Sorry, not usually one to complain but my patience is running short. I have spent alot of money on this game (far beyond the founders program) in good faith and in hopes that it will help the game succeed. Don't get me wrong I am happy to see progress of any kind however thus far I am not convinced it was money well spent.
