I was really hopeful for this patch... I get that people are always going to be disappointed, whatever they do, but the thing is...

When asked about the patch, their only response was "Won't talk specifics, but trust us, it's big." Which led me, at least, to think there was some sort of cool surprise in the works... at the very least, I was thinking we'd get the End-of-Round Summary Screen and some update on Matchmaking Phase 3 (both of which were slated for today, according to this).

Then patch day comes, and we're greeted with...

This is a ) disappointing to say the least b ) isn't going to end well.

A lot of people were putting a lot of hope into this patch, the results...


was expecting UI 2.0 too. someone made an excuse for them, that because this patch was going to be big, PGI was not actively communicating with the community. They were wrong.


but you can't expect anything from patchday here at PGI

or you will be very upset

I am actually grateful for that because I am going to spend most of my time until the next real patch in my stalker
packed with as many LRM's as I can fit (2x20 and 2x15) with some lasers for backup. Its kinda relaxing.

More band-**** that wont work instead of fixing the underlying problems. So when they do fix ECM they will have to re balance these modules too. Stupid devs are stupid.

We have added a few new Modules to boost your Target information that I am sure will be popular, Target Decay Rank 1 and 2, as well as Sensor Range Rank 2. A must for those LRM boats still feeling the pain from ECM.

i feel the Pain from ECM, but with the new shiny Modules i now can finaly......... O wait..... i still cant target em.

The modules did effect ECM guys... not by enough really, but it is a slight counter. By allowing you to push your sensor range out, you can lock further out. ECM = 1/4 your normal sensor range for lock, aka 250m (without a boost). Now it's basically 312.5, because you get 1k+25% from the module. Or at least that's how I understand it, could be completely wrong. Still next to useless, assuming the mech is a DDC you'll get an extra set of missiles off before it closes to **** you. I guess the positive side is that they're trying to adjust slowly instead of swinging a massive nerf/buff stick.

How much gxp and cost for these modules? Ecm costs 400k. Most modules are 2 to 4 mill+ a shitload of grinding for gxp.

Don't expect stuff on a certain patch day unless they give the day...


Should we expect anything but disappointment from PGI? That's the only thing they have reliably given the community on any given day.

not impressed with first pass thru the patch notes.......actually pretty disappointed, with all the problems we have so far.....they add a mech to exploit 2 of them.....

I swear the DEVs are not actually playing the same game as us "crash test dummies"
