All PGI has to do is give us a comment about the state of the ECM. I don't need a fix for it, just comment.

If it's fine, then please tell us your thoughts why you think so.
If you intend to bring some balancing factors, then just a hint is enough

Something! Anything! This lack of acknowledgement is getting ridiculous, even in the 'Ask the devs' that We know they are reading.

Comment or I'm out. Del this post, I don't care. I've making my stand right here.

And I don't those ForumWarriors who vote yes but then backdown from their claim. If you vote yes then you better keep it!

UPDATE: Well, this surely looks promising: (posts 38 and 40)

http://mwomercs.com/...-communication/

We'll see if we get some good answer

This needs a "OP, Blow it out your hole" vote.

Seriously. If you're unhappy. DON'T FRIGGIN PLAY. Otherwise, take into account that there are balances still being weighed and in due time things shall get fixed. If you don't have the patience for it, TAKE A BREAK

I would say... Yes. ECM gives WAY too much for far too little.
It isn't really too much to ask for just a brief statement on what they plan on doing, besides "we're looking into it"...

Bigger problems than your inability to play without artifical aiming in the form of LRM spam.

Things worth going all Furor on PGI

- Missed product deadlines
- Vague 2013 roadmap
- Execution is getting worse since October 2012; patch schedule is falling far behind their 1/week "clean" deployments
- Slowing down of content launch; content has been limited to refurbishments of things in the closed beta files.
- Increasing focus on pay gimmicks and heavy promote over growth of the product.
- Poor Q&A testing, admission there is limited field testing before pushing it onto paying community.

- Using development cash flow on retail promotes (PG GAMER I'm looking at you) vs. improving the development team to address key issues and talent gaps (A ******* NET CODE GURU).

So pick which one you want to go all INTERNET CARL ICHAN on. Then maybe people will care, else; go back to facebook democracy.

This is more than just ECM being OP, this is their total lack of communication despite our best efforts to divulge their divine plans.

I don't need a fix, all I want is a comment. Ten sentences. I make that in fifteen minutes. If that is too much to ask then that tells me something from the devs.

We have been asking about the ECM for couple of months now, with not a single word for answer. If they have plans, then share some.

Why the anger?

How broke is ECM really?

Not trying to flame or troll you, I have seen it still be defeated by superior team work and yes, even using LRM's.

I'm hoping that today's fixes make the lights less difficult to hit, less hit scan issues (unfortunately net code hasn't been up-dated yet) and that will really make a difference IMO.

Until then, carry more TAG on your mechs, use ECM Lights (two working together seems to be a good formula) and have them work more at spotting/taging than going way behind enemy lines to keep from having them too far away to help protect you from their lights, and you should have 1-2 ECM Brawlers or at least a Cicada that floats between the main group and the scouts to help with ECM coverage.

Team work is the solution to most of these "problems" IMO.

ECM is fine, its the number of mechs carrying it in a given match that is an issue.

ECM is fine. Netcode is the only reason that ECM seems so ludicrously overpowered (No one has any problems with ECM DDCs, it's just the fast ECM mechs that are a problem) Netcode has been publicly addressed as being worked on.

The best way to stop playing if you are not happy with the state of the game as it is right here, right now is just to........stop playing and check back on patch days (like myself and alot of others). Posting this kinda poll will get you flamed every dern time.

To each their own though

If the devs won't read our posts, then vote with your playtime and wallet.

They can, but shouldn't ignore us for ever.
