As to game mode, Assault, and I PUG about 95% of the time, otherwise I pair up with my brother.

With most of my (limited) previous BT experience from the TT game, my favorite mechs are/were:
-Highlander 734: Quintissential assault; JJs really help on anything but the most basic maps.
-Phoenix Hawk 4PL: Jump and blast...what's not to love?
-Jagermech JM6-DDa: With precision ammo, gives a lot of fire support for 900 BV.
-Trebuchet 5S: In non-TW games, this mech always seems to do more than its BV worth, even if it's just drawing lots of fire.

In MWO, my top four would all be Dragon variants, because it's nice to see them do more than their niche role in TT.
