Please help me pick my next mech. I am close to breaking down and getting in a 3L.

Last one was the dragon and let me say, that was interesting. So help me decide again!

Thanks for the help

I've been going out in a Cat C4 lately - once you learn how to avoid ecm lights, you can do a lot of damage from afar, or load up on normal srms and do some pretty decent short range damage.

I'm a big fan of the Centurion, but it's a lot similar to your Dragon. The Catapult of Stalker would be new experiences; since you already have some practice in a fairly-agile heavy, I'd say give the Stalker a try. Subtle it ain't but, it's it's fun as hell to pilot.

I'd say the Catapult (C1 first).

It'll give a good taste for missile warfare after the Ballistics/energy focus of the Dragon. The other chassis in the range tend towards more a total missile focus (A1), or a Ballistic/Energy mix (K2). The C4 is 4M, 2E and a good compromise if you want both SRM & LRM capability. The C1 though has 4E,2M and has the greatest flexibility of the Cat range, and allows mounting of TAG with minimal sacrifice. All except the K2 have jump jets too, so a chance to try them out.

It's also slightly slower, which may show a bit a tendency towards quicker mechs, or whether you head the assault path.

Well I had the catapult mastered in CB, so it would not be new. Same with the Awesome.

Collect tears while you can. Get a 3L.

Hmm on second thought.. you haven't played MWO unless you have played CPLTs. **** ravens, get a cat.

(oh you had cats in CB. **** cats, get a raven)

Please don't go the route of the 3L. It is for no skill noobs that depend on broken mechanics to not "suck" at this game.

Something tells me that you're better than that.

Then you're familiar with those. Let's see... Dragon, Catapult, Awesome. Seems to me you should go one of two ways:

-If you want to go more Dragon-like, then hit up either the Cataphract (not on your list though) or the Centurion.
-If you want to go more Cat/AWS-like, run Stalker.

Yeah the ones not on my list are already mastered. The 3L does feel dirty, but it also feels like free cbills. And I could use a little padding on my kdr since I switch mechs so often it has suffered.

imo it's not the best at making monies. If you want to solo pug and top the score board every game,(the ones you win), then you should either MBL SRM brawler or LRM boat for max cash. Cats work great for that.

Do the Raven and hope it helps to force the devs fix it :)

Out of your list, I voted Catapult since it is the most interesting of the bunch though you mentioned doing it in CB ... so maybe it shouldn't be on the list? I have one of each of the mechs on the list except Centurion and Awesome. I've mastered Hunchback, Jenner and Catapult ... which is part of why I recommended the cat.

If you like a Zombiemech the Centurion A ist your baby. 2 mlaser(centertorso) and 3 srm (lefttorso) with full armor and fastest standard engine with endo steel and ferros. Both arms and right torso is just armor for you.

I am also a Centuion fan, and I really dislike the Dragon. You'd think that with their similar load out they'd be the same driving experience, but that was not the case for me. I'd like to see what your experience will be.

Catapults are one of the straight up best chassis in my opinion. I own 3 of them and they are strong. good hardpoints, small profile, fast, and very small back hitbox. They are begging for an XL engine and speed.

Gave you a vote for the spider because the spider is amazing. I know everybody wants to thinknthat its laughably ineffective but I am telling you right now that when piloted correctly it is the most Awesome unique experience in the game.
