If it had hatchet like it is supposed to, it would be devastating at close range.

It doesn't have a hatchet, it has Diamond tipped Claws on the left hand.

There is no real reason to remove a sufficiently diverse chassis.

I'm not sure whether I'd use it, but I still dearly want it back. It's about variety, and as has been said, it's a canon build.
Pleeeeeaaaase?

While i agree with the above build the dagnib ECm have made it slightly less potent.

Apart from the fact that there obviously was, as it is gone. If you agree with that reason 8what ever it is) is another story. But the devs did one way or the other have a very real reason as they do not just remove stuff for fun.

I ran a petition on this and everything.

Got a response from support and chewed them out - politely - but the closing statement from support on that essentially said "We learned our lesson and this won't happen again."

But still no success at getting the AH back.

Sadly, another in a long line of questionable community relation choices I have seen here.

If we bring back the AH you would definitely have to update the WANG with something like

2B RA, 1 E LT, 2 E CT, 1 ERT

XL in a sub 100 kph mech. You're going to have a bad time.

It is so easily neutered, as it's only staying power is in it's easily decimated right arm.

I have a huge hatred for completely ammo dependent mechs. I've seen far too many matches last because a mech ran out of ammo and had no back up weapons to ever want another completely ammo dependent mech in the game.

We ran into a Raven yesterday that had only an LRM 20(!); that's one ammo dependent mess of a build!

The AH sucks as much as the Wang, neither should ever be allowed on a battlefield. That said, we have the Wang, so we should have the AH as well.

Bring back the AH and make it capable of holding ECM. They did that to the cicada and commando. Why not the CN9-AH?

It has these claws in the Warrior trilogy, but is always statted with a hatchet in the recordsheets.

I know, right? On the other hand the arm is easier to "shield" than for instance the Hunchbacks big box, which can be hit from the front and from behind. To my surprise I found it rather easy to stay in the game of big guns long enough to do some damage. Plus, I've won many matches with only my two ML left. People tend to underestimate...well..everything. :P

So the YLW looses two to three weapon slots, on first sight that's a weakness. Because it is. The trick is to turn it into an advantage. Add some hightech (Endosteel + FF because there's enough free crit slots), make the armor formidable, give it more ammo, CASE protection for the ammo and, the most important part, a standard 250 engine.

That thing goes just below under 90kph. Hit and run galore. And because it is no XL engine it's a tough hit and runner. And because it has an ac/20 it's a hard-hitting hit and runner. <_<

Let's just say that, after some getting used to, my k/d ratio was just rising in the long run. It is definitely not the kind of mech that should get in a fight first, but one that can end one with a single blow...or two. I just like him.

(Plus I read the books, so it's not just some name to me. I know it's history, even that during the Clan invasion. :))

Would be nice to be able to get three variants of the Centurion for leveling that wouldn't require spending ridiculous amounts on the AD.

Cost to get three Centurions: 15.4 million cbills
Cost to get three Hunchbacks: 10.8 million cbills

For the price of the AD I could get a variant of anything but an Atlas, so despite loving the Cent I won't be bothering to get it.

You mean the AH right? Because the max engine size for an A is 260 (I know because I've been fiddling with mine)

Regards OP cents - A
XL 260 (you're right it's slower than I'd like)
AC5
2 MLs
3 SRM6s

No one expects the huge alpha you plant into their torso. Saving up for the XL at the moment so it only moves 64. Very slow!

Added a poll. I'd really love for them to reintroduce this mech. Having hero mechs that can do the same as existing variants clearly doesn't cut into the number purchased. I bought the Wang because it was so similar to my HBK-4G build, but it had additional money potential. Please, PGI. Re-add this mech.
