They shouldn't have to refund premium time. There had to be user effort to unlock it (the activate button), and as the players it's our job to know what that would entail. AKA, you pushed the button, don't start whining now.

If you want a refund and think you have a valid reason, send in a support ticket. The game IS playable. It has bugs, and glitches, but it's a beta. No one forced anyone to sink money into the game to play. So I doubt they'll refund it because you're unsatisfied now.

I've clicked that button, gotten a FP, and bought MC. I'll probably buy more, even still in beta mode. It's a fun, playable game, and I think it's worth playing despite the glitches. I can't wait until problems get solved and the actual game comes out, but until then I'll keep piloting on.

:)

I'm not saying you are wrong, or that you are a liar; I am saying that you seem to be alone in your experience with your Premium Time "activating itself."

Well it came as something of a shock to me that several days (maybe a week) after we went to 'open beta' I logged in, for the very first time and found the count-down already running and from the time remaining it had been running the second the servers had come back up. In fact to say my jimmies were rustled by that happening would be a major understatement.

Either way. I didn't click the Activate button. The time used itself up. Thus, I did not have a choice in my Founders time being expended and disagree with any and all statements that "because we had a choice we shouldn't get it back" because. I DIDN'T.

no dont, theres no point. Once the game went OB you lost the ability to get refunds even if youd been planning to get one but had a family member die and take you to a location without internet for a month.
A month and three weeks if yuo count the time up to the trip and the time helping take care of said dying family member.
(this is the experience I had with customer service when I got back and DID send in that email)

The first like month of Open beta was free time for everyone, cause there was no activate button. We got the button later on, It gave/gives you the full time you were promised when you press(ed) it. so if you pressed it, then you pressed it, everyone got that option.

This is ridiculous, I have a ping of around 270-280ms and the game is quite playable. If it folded tomorrow, I could still say that it was better value per hour than going to the cinema or hiring a Bluray.
Yes lets sue them so we can make sure there is no money to continue the game. " I hate finally having a Battletech based game so much, I want to be responsible for shutting it down, because I don't have the skills or patience or perserverance to be able to enjoy it." <sarcasm>
You might as well drop your new tub of icecream in the driveway of your house and then ask the supermarket to cough up a replacement because you fumbled it...

Hiring a blueray? Dont you...rent or buy one of those? And we had a battletech game, that ran better than MWO on cryengine and was better in damn near every way, it was called MW:LL, so I really dont care if PGI shuts down, maybe then someone who knows that they are doing will get the license.

And hey, last time I was at Costco (big bulk/warehouse store for those who dont know what it is) and bought one of their pizzas and droped it in the parking lot while loading my car, they gave me a replacement! So you know, not everyone who runs businesses are douches and dont mind refunding dissatisfied customers, which I am still waiting for a yes OR no from PGI and IGP.

You HAD an experience with customer service? Those lazy jerks wont even respond to me, even though I made sure to word my request FAR more politely than I speak on these forums.

Fascinating. Now, you say 'like month, which could be 4 weeks or 5', I say exact amount of premium time included with the 'blue' Founders pack. To the second. I smell fishy things.

Ask too often for resets, and they may just refund and wipe your account (including founder status).

That a promise?

Yes, if you had less premium time then how long it took them to get the activate button in to the game, it would have run out. That how ever does not mean your activate button does not work. The time before the activate button was put in is free time. So if you never hit activate, you can still hit it right this second and get your month of time.

As I know I've not used mine, which is 3 months, and when they put the activate button in they took everyone premium away, since we could then choose when to use it. So I still have a reserve of 3 months waiting.

edit: should clarify, by "took everyones premium away" I mean the founders prem time... if ya had bought it through MC ya kept it.... so.. ya..

@Apoc1138 learn to quote people then. You quoted just me and rambled off about MC. So, you're still wrong and can't read.
@Battle Hawk glad you're happy I'm not and some other people aren't happy either. Thanks for your two cents and confirming you are indeed a "gifted" person. Thanks for wasting my time leave my thread now.

If you didn't want an open discussion on the topic, why put it on a free and open forum.... I'm just the other side of the coin and I'm not the only one here that doesn't want a reset of any type.... Personally, I don't think they are going to reset anyway, making the entire thread a mute point... Anyway, as for being gifted, thank you for the complement...

This is considered a beta and should be treated as such. So when you (PGI) claim this game is no longer BETA. You should reset and refund premium time wasted when the game unplayable by most.

no.

Actually, I don't want any reset either.

I simply said a Stats reset was most probable, not that I supported it.

I worked damn hard to get where I want to be in the game, and made a couple of bad MC choices along the way. Ce La Vie.

No Resets after Open Beta.

I have come to the conclusion if Imperious spent as much time in the game as he did in Forums asking for refunds and complaining, he'd own every mech and have them all mastered.

I've been waiting to activate my premium time until community warfare comes out, but now it seems like that will never happen.

Well, if I dont use the premium time, and the game continues to go in a really horrible direction or even dies I will be on better grounds for a lawsuit against the company, and they have no way to say "Well if the game experience was so horrible, or if we bait and switched why did you feel the game was good enough to use the time we gave you?"

Oh ffs, stop. Just Stop. I don't know where you are from, but since you are talking ludicrous ideas like suing a game developer because you don't like the direction they took the game, I can only assume that you are one of my plethora of countrymen that make living here periodically intolerable and worse yet contribute to us being the laughing stock of the developed world.

Stop ruining America with your litigious nonsense. The rest of us are tired of it. I suppose you think it was McDonald's fault for the coffee being too hot as well. Man the **** up and take responsibility for your own actions. No one owes you anything if you don't like the video game you bought. Just stop playing it if that is the case.

In the last NGNG pod cast, I think they said community warfare is being tested right now. So, from that I get that it is coming... Soon, I hope...

I have asked for a refund, they refuse, so naturally considering such things is a standard course.

And...you do realize that in that case Mcdonalds kept their coffee well above safe temperatures around 190 degrees, enough to cause third degree burns and destroying skin and muscle right? http://www.lectlaw.com/files/cur78.htm

Try doing some ******* research next time mk kiddo?
