More than semi-broken. Either that or it's waiting until it can animate my damn arm to mash the button. I can still use P to power up/down when cool, but powering up when hot doesn't seem to work at all. The patch notes implied that you could power up after shutting down at your risk.

Now, feedback:
It could be cool to see some boot output printed to the HUD/cockpit displays during the sequence. Right now we hear via betty when the systems come fully online and are ready but it's very cool (to me at least) to see the lines of output and all the systems coming online.
Here's an example video, probably have to fullscreen it and watch it in 1080 to be able to read the print but it'll get the idea across. The boot loader appears in the top-left.
I reaaaally like what they did there, particularly the part where it runs the system checks with the pass/fail tally. It's a small detail not in that video, but sometimes your mech fails the test on one (or more) of the secondary/redundant systems which I also found entertaining and helped keep the experience fresh! (What? Safety Subsystems failed POST? Oh well..)

What i don't like about it is, that the pilot seems to move his nose right to the cockpit "window" after booting. The camera should stay back there where it is, so i can see something from that cockpit.
Other than that, i really like it, did i mention this?

I got a fix for you. Find your user.cfg file. Open it with notepad. Insert this line:
cl_fov = 75
You'll need to restart your game if it is open. Try a round with that. If it is not enough, raise the number to sit further back. If it is too fishbowled, lower the number. Try increments of 5, then fine-tune with increments of 1 to 3. Default number (nose in window) is 65.
I chose 75 as it gives me all 3 windows in Cicadas and Centurions, just enough in the Atlas, and the full front-end of a Catapult. Aiming my AC-20s is much easier. Leading my ballistics is comfortable. I also no longer feel like a grandmother behind the wheel of a car with special bi-focal windshields.
I hope this helps!

I don't see any reason to take camera control away from the player... it would be better to give the player free look by default during the startup or when shut down. Forcing me to look down on my avatar's hand feels unnatural.
This.
I fully expect most people to like it but at least give the rest of us the option to turn it off.
While you're at it, let us adjust weapon groups, missile bay doors and interior light levels during the pre-match phase.

1. Sometimes my mech overheats, and then powers back up by itself after 1-2 SECONDS?!!!!
This is kinda neat, but oh so confusing.
2. Sometimes my mech overheats, so I hit P over and over and over. Then I power up, and then down, and then...oh look I'm dead.
3. Sometimes my mech overheats, and no matter what I do, once it powers back up my HUD/GUI IS GONE!
Needs some fixing for sure.

Why is the Jenner's pilot pushing on a dial?? Shouldn't there be another button around to push or can a new animation be made showing the dial being turned?
