Because if PGI released patch notes today and 1/3 of the items didn't make it into the patch the community becomes more rampant

A little off topic but I just read a post of Bryan Ekman's from the link in an earlier post with this tidbit. I know this has been talked about SO MUCH, but are we not the beta testers? Why have separate "test servers"?
PGI needs to clearly state what stage this game is at and act accordingly. This game feels nothing like a beta. What are we testing for really? There is so much more to implement - it's almost more of a Alpha phase to me, on top of the fact that it is open or "live" to the public which is even more confusing?! Plus they're happily taking our money all along the way. Now don't get me wrong, crowd-funding can be extremely successful and MWO is a prime example, but someone in development clearly has to indicate what phase this game is at and actually treat it as such. Enough of this MWO with a beta logo while having no indication it is actually meant for open beta testing.
End of rant, thank you for your time reading my gibberish.
