I would like to NOT see:
Ponies, Pandas, Greifers, and those pesky kids that never go out of their base to grind but continuously beg for C-bills to build their mech..

The reason a (sufficiently heavy) star goes nova when it burns out the light elements at its core isn't because iron reacts violently to fusion. Quite the opposite - iron sits at the tipping point between where fusion releases energy (lighter, which is why we fuse hydrogen) and where fusion sucks in energy (which is why useful fission processes involve uranium and heavier, because splitting those into lower-weight atoms releases energy). Once the star makes appreciable quantities of iron and starts mashing the iron together, it loses energy fast. Then the lighter elements remaining in the outer, non-fusing layers aren't getting pushed out by intense thermal expansion anymore, so they all come rushing back in. The nova is what happens when the loose layers fall in and densify just enough to get a high-intensity reaction going again, but it's self-defeating - once the thermal expansion from that explosive restart kicks in, most of the remaining light stuff gets tossed off again (the shockwave) and you get left with a hot stellar cinder (white dwarf, neutron star, or black hole, depending on the star's starting mass). A light enough star doesn't even get that final flash - it just burns out with a whimper.
Going back to the dangerousness (or lack thereof) of a fusion reactor going boom, some iron getting in there would probably just vaporize along with the rest of the material that got sucked in. If they're reactors specced for hydrogen or helium, they're not going to be able to fuse anything heavier under normal operating conditions, and in most cases the energy output can only go down.

What if the same ammo can be purchased with C-bills? I just have a problem with items being purchasable ONLY with real world money. (except vanity items and founders mechs of course). I get it if someone wants to spend $ to have a custom skin that they love, but when it comes to mechs/ammo/mods/etc. that are only unlocked with real world money... As long as they make it so that items can be bought with either $ or C-bills then I'm fine.

You know, the whole "everyone picks assaults with jump jets, hides behind a hill in their spawn zone and alpha strikes in mid air with 100% accuracy across a 800+ meter wide killing field with absolutely zero cover" thing that ****** all classic battletech fans off.
BUMP! Yes, it looks like the Devs are on top of this. I'm hoping they continue to address the roles of the other Mech classes and roles to make sure that a successful mission is aided by differing roles and weight classes. Maps that included ways to enhance smaller Mech survivability such as multiple levels easily accessible by jump jet but hard for walkers, weather conditions that make targeting VERY poor without scout mechs aiding said targeting, tonnage limits in certain matches per lance or company (i.e. 220 ton limit per lance : you want that Atlas, now you have 120 tons for the other 3 mechs!) Just a few ideas off the top of my head. I'm sure others will come up with other ways to enhance and ensure a rounded game!

Yes, I agree, and I fortunately am one of those able to buy my way to a win. Pay for variation, not for a winning combo! Now, if I could pay for a few extra Mech slots, I'd LOVE that. That being said, an extra account would take care of that for even a FTP player, so it's not a real advantage for me, just a convenience I would pay for.
