i dont want to see a person on my own team trying to kill the other team by himself.

one thing I DO WANT TO SEE is a MUTE ALL BUTTON or the ability to mute/ignore people at will please give me the simplest and glorious of features i don't want to read about your prepubescent problems or read your fail attempts at insults.

hah! here I am on page 45...
I would like to NOT see:
Ponies, Pandas, Greifers, and those pesky kids that never go out of their base to grind but continuously beg for C-bills to build their mech..

The science geek in me is a touch agitated by what they say in the fusion engine thing. Just on a real world issue here, iron cannot be fused. When a star of sufficient size, several times the size of our beloved Sun, start to form iron in the core, the star is SECONDS from death. a few atoms mass worth of iron is enough to bring starts many times the size of our own into a super nova detonation. Now, please tell me who at FASA decided that when a mechs reactor core is breached, most likely some iron will make it into the reactor before it 'shuts down' which fusion being what it is, tends to dislike this and gets really violent about it. This is one case where they said: hmm, physics, ah screw it, lets say it shuts down. This is one place where suspension of disbelief fails me hard.

The reason a (sufficiently heavy) star goes nova when it burns out the light elements at its core isn't because iron reacts violently to fusion. Quite the opposite - iron sits at the tipping point between where fusion releases energy (lighter, which is why we fuse hydrogen) and where fusion sucks in energy (which is why useful fission processes involve uranium and heavier, because splitting those into lower-weight atoms releases energy). Once the star makes appreciable quantities of iron and starts mashing the iron together, it loses energy fast. Then the lighter elements remaining in the outer, non-fusing layers aren't getting pushed out by intense thermal expansion anymore, so they all come rushing back in. The nova is what happens when the loose layers fall in and densify just enough to get a high-intensity reaction going again, but it's self-defeating - once the thermal expansion from that explosive restart kicks in, most of the remaining light stuff gets tossed off again (the shockwave) and you get left with a hot stellar cinder (white dwarf, neutron star, or black hole, depending on the star's starting mass). A light enough star doesn't even get that final flash - it just burns out with a whimper.

Going back to the dangerousness (or lack thereof) of a fusion reactor going boom, some iron getting in there would probably just vaporize along with the rest of the material that got sucked in. If they're reactors specced for hydrogen or helium, they're not going to be able to fuse anything heavier under normal operating conditions, and in most cases the energy output can only go down.

For me I don't ever want to see paid golden BB ammo that penetrates everything and always crits.

What if the same ammo can be purchased with C-bills? I just have a problem with items being purchasable ONLY with real world money. (except vanity items and founders mechs of course). I get it if someone wants to spend $ to have a custom skin that they love, but when it comes to mechs/ammo/mods/etc. that are only unlocked with real world money... As long as they make it so that items can be bought with either $ or C-bills then I'm fine.

The one thing I don't want to see is people using real money to buy every mech and every weapon in the game. I don't want people that have all this extra money lying around being dumped into the game so they can stomp on those that can only get mechs the old fashioned way, by playing the game and earning the C-bills to purchase that mech they want and to get extra weapons so they can customize it the way they want it laid out.

I don't want to see Any Excalibers(game winning traits) like previously stated Gold Ammo, or anything one effect or item that makes winning against impossible. Just keep it fair

I dont want to see MWO play like MW4 with upgraded graphics.

You know, the whole "everyone picks assaults with jump jets, hides behind a hill in their spawn zone and alpha strikes in mid air with 100% accuracy across a 800+ meter wide killing field with absolutely zero cover" thing that ****** all classic battletech fans off.

BUMP! Yes, it looks like the Devs are on top of this. I'm hoping they continue to address the roles of the other Mech classes and roles to make sure that a successful mission is aided by differing roles and weight classes. Maps that included ways to enhance smaller Mech survivability such as multiple levels easily accessible by jump jet but hard for walkers, weather conditions that make targeting VERY poor without scout mechs aiding said targeting, tonnage limits in certain matches per lance or company (i.e. 220 ton limit per lance : you want that Atlas, now you have 120 tons for the other 3 mechs!) Just a few ideas off the top of my head. I'm sure others will come up with other ways to enhance and ensure a rounded game!

Yes, I agree, and I fortunately am one of those able to buy my way to a win. Pay for variation, not for a winning combo! Now, if I could pay for a few extra Mech slots, I'd LOVE that. That being said, an extra account would take care of that for even a FTP player, so it's not a real advantage for me, just a convenience I would pay for.

Sideways boosters, turbo running, +speed when levelling up, I always thought the hyper movement abilities of some mech games was absurd.

Luckily, Hawken seems to have that option covered.

Hrm? One thing I don't want to see? Well after being on the forums regularly there is one thing I can confidently say I never, ever want to see. and that is the:

URBANMECH

Let these be banished from MW:O and the forums till the end of time.
