3Rd Person Views, Poll Revived

A way that could be justifiable would be a gun cam view from a friendly mech, but that would require you to sacrifice control of your mech, as well as be restricted to the view of the friendly pilot. Practically useless without comms.
Another option could be an overhead drone, perhaps provided by a module, or something? It provides a top down view centered over your mech, showing your immeadiate surroundings. However, you'd once again have to sacrifice control of your mech to use this feature, kind of like the current Battlegrid system used for command. But localised to your chassis, rather than the entire map. Additionally, the drone could be shot down, which is then a waste of a module slot.
Anyways, just my 10cents worth.

TF2 is a FPS game and when you taunt you go into third person to see yourself, makes sense!
With the high-five taunt you can hold down the button and although frozen in place you can indeffinetly stay in 3rd person.
I will often hide around a corner and then use the taunt to enter third person so I can look right around the corner and ambush anyone who comes running down effectivley.
Adding third person to a game designed around shooting things from first person perspective, especially a game like this, gives players a HUGE FOV boost that would allow them to look around corners without exposing themselves which would be pretty game breaking for most close encounters. Even more so if the 3RD person view were to have a 'freelook' mode like the cockpit view currently does. I imagine players hiding in really useless places where they can't be shot or shoot out of, powering down so they have no radar signiture and then just panning the camera around to 'scout' the area with no risk assosiated to the action.
Another thing it would expose to make things easier for players would be knowing exactly where that shot that hit you in the back just came from. At the moment when you get hit in the back you have to spin yourself around and then evaluate where it came from, if the enemy isn't right up your rear.
If someone shot you in the back from the distance and you saw where the laser or shot came from because you can see some of your back you'd know straight away which direction you need to hide from or shoot back at.
Because of these reasons I voted no. I personally hope to never see 3RD person in this game.

Actually, in most league play I experienced that utilized any of the MW games as their baseline, 3PV was not allowed except in very specific ladders and certainly were not considered the upper level of legit competition.
Playing on MW4:Mercs servers that had "casual" servers available (NBT-HC for example) for non-competitive play, the ability to use 3PV as a sniper was absolutely game changing. Matches played out in a completely different manner when competent teams used 3PV for pop-sniping and it would be the same here.
3PV has its uses (training grounds, testing grounds) but on anything involving CW (aka the competitive aspect of this game once it comes out) I vote NO. Plus frankly, just for me, it ruins the aesthetics and sense of immersion.

I'm not sure I follow; all of your points basically say you wouldn't use it; which is the same as me. My point was 3rd person view was available whether you used it or not and whether it was banned in league play or not. I recall very few conversations of someone complaining about a 3rd person view exploit in any other MW game matches. Maybe you had a different experience.

so theyre what sending them emails?
Sure. Or submitting bug reports. Or talking on facebook or twitter. Or using those "other" game sites that forum users complain about because they get "exclusive" info before the forums, when an outstandingly small percentage of a game's playerbase (any game's playerbase) even bother to look at their forums.

ah so theyre gonna ignore the many thousand plus reply polls (5k in the last one) to make happy ppl that probably wont even stay in the game. BRILLIANT idea, that.

You seem to have a major misconception of what the word "playerbase" means. Only a very, very small percentage of this game's playerbase participate in these forums. That is to say, a much much larger portion of this game's playerbase are NOT ON THESE FORUMS. They are other places. Sometimes they pay attention to Facebook. Sometimes they're tuned into Twitter. Sometimes they read/listen to/watch other gaming media outlets. Just because they're on facebook or twitter or whatever doesn't mean that they don't play this game too. They are also part of this game's playerbase.

You should have seen the first one. It was 5000 no and like a hundred yes.
and to also point out, that was 5,100 total votes, when the total displayed members is 450,000 and we already have confirmation that the number displayed is lower than the actual number of players/accounts for this game. So slightly over 1% of the *displayed* population even bothered to vote in the last "massive" poll.
Not that polls matter on forums anyway, since they are all self-selected polls anyway and can in no way have an outcome that is not biased based on the people that choose to participate in these forums anyway.
