Dragons are garbage any way you look at it. Cheaper or not. Completely outclassed by the other heavies (Blah blah tonnage difference, its the hard points / shape).

Takes a skilled pilot to make a Dragon shine, and a 1C or a Flame. Only 2 variants worth their salt.

I like Dragon, and have a Flame, but will not spend MC on a normal dragon. I need 1 more to get to elite, but id rather just grind the cbills

I think they'd see more sales if the drop the MC price on new mechs by 50% or more for non-hero mechs. As is only the most disposable-income flushed wallet warriors would buy regular mechs with MC. But if they were only 500 MC? Well, that starts to look appealing.

Haha

No.

I like the Dragon and all, but pay MC to get something that's relatively cheap in terms of C-Bills? No thanks.

Pull the other leg guys, it's got bells on.

I pay real money or MC only for unique or fun stuff. If I want things that can obtained by playing, I will play until I get them - it's more satisfying then just pour in cash. ;)

I didn't but I did drop £30 to get another 30 days premium, a murmot, atlas and two mech bays... Would have liked 20% off that... Lol.

Come on PGI... No offense but you guys have to do better than this if you are trying to get people to buy and use MC. 20% less when you buy with MC? It's hardly worth it for most people.

You really want to sell Dragons or any mech for that matter and really want to push having to level up 3 or more variants of the same mech? How about give us a deal where if we buy with MC 3 variants of the same mech we get those 3 variants as a package deal 50% off the total purchase price? Or buy 1 mech at full price and get a second mech of equal or lesser price at 50% off its set price? This 20% stuff is not worth it lol

I hope they learn from this vote that they can't wrap **** in a nice paper and present it as a gift.

I mean...seriously?

I think that's the whole point of this MC sale, to test out the system and find out how the players react. Metrics, metrics, metrics!

If only the Dragon didn't have that overly obnoxious, shoot me here center torso...

But then it allows you to use an XL enigine without any disadvantages

I guess you are right. That 20% wont make a big difference.
There are those that buy mechs with MC because they have the money.
And then there are those that dont. But 20% wont get many of the second group to spend money.

Let's chalk this up as a learning experience for IGP/Piranha and hope future sales will be better.

No, instead i bought a Cicada with C-Bills. :P

(No offense ;) - the Dragon is simply not a Mech i like and i usually convert XP into GXP to avoid Mechgrind)

No, I meant lazy. Just because you have a few bucks to throw at a game doesnt make you successful.

You do understand that if it wasnt for what you term lazy players, you would have no game to play, right? I know many think people playing for free, grinding up the tough way through the ranks pays the bills, but it doesnt. Its nice there is that avenue, but someone has to support a game for it to be made and improved.

No way I'd spend MC on a non hero mech.

Dragon can be an "OK" ;) ride, but it's just not worth that.
