So why exactly are you trying to sync-drop?

You're still cheating in 30% of the games when you sync-drop on the same team.

I also call BS on your claims of seeing players on the other team in other drop channels to defend your sync-dropping by saying the other team has a 4-man so your sync-drop really isn't so bad...

Usually only when we have 7 ppl in the room or we have failed to find a match a few times in an 8 man and actually feel like.playing a game.
you can call BS as much as you likemy friend it doesn't make you any more right or me any more wrong, or for that matter vice versa. I can say what I have experienced and you cannot say otherwise simply because you have not had my experiances I don't play at prime NA time as I'm from the UK so it may be a totally differant time and situation to the game you play just due to the amount of people online. .

I agree with OP..

MM needs fixing!

There are 4 of my buddies in the screenshot, it looks like they were thrown together with another premade team. No 4+4 sync drop, though. That unbalanced team matching happens too often and should be dealt with by matching premades against each other first, so there are equal numbers of premade teams on both sides. It still leaves me puzzled why the matchmaker works this way. It also seems to put founders on one side exclusively, leaving the other side with more newbies and trial mechs.

i kinda got this from the numbers. The assists were to evenly spread out to be an average 4 man with PUGs. You will notice the players on the loosing side that teamed up to kill the One Winner. delivered as much damage as the average player on the winning side.

I'm going to call this as they stuck together, and the rest of the team split up and were hunted and killed piece mail.

So, because OP is getting stomped in a game where he IS warned there is a steep learning curve, he wants to drag everyone down to his level and make them little headless chickens runnning around, just because he is entitled to fun?

****. Seriously. The mantra is obvious ; Adapt or die, Rambo, and if you leave the loss is yours. While I admit people shouldn't be trolling PuGs out of the MWO experience as they are potentially paying customers (and the condescending attitude of some is really anti-commerical levels, it starts to reach EVE Online proportions), so shouldn't you be trolling us because we work in team in a game that is built around teamwork.

And by adapt, there is an Outreach forum right under in the forums list where you can find teammates, even other lone wolfs and PuGs, and arrange a group. A good mic nowadays costs twenty bucks. I PuGged for about a week, then I found a group in my language AND added tons of PuGs to my list of friends in case they want to team up.

The devs does not like that you are doing this. One important thing about Phase 3 is to avoid it. What do you think about that?

Steep learning curve = getting stomped by organized team while you are enjoying the company of players that may start the game for the first time.

I am not sure what level you are on but I am sure its pretty damn low.

Your point being, Pointdexter? I don't give a **** about your level. Level isn't everything in a conversation, you basement-dweller.

No, with my teammates I don't get stomped, and even PuG alone I arrange myself to be useful to my teammates, and I'm in a friggin' Jenner. When I get killed I learn from my experience and READ, READ, READ about mech tactics.

That's called "adapting".

So, are you going to try and suggest that sync-dropping doesn't harm the game in any way?

I don't give a **** what your experience is, if you are sync-dropping you are part of the problem and are damaging this game.

There is absolutely nothing pubs can learn by getting rolled over by a premade. Nothing at all.
Apart from possibly learning that it may be time to try some other free to pay game. They are all free right?

I am agreeing with you on this point.

Though an easy fix (which has often been proposed since CB) would be:
  • (Optional) Oflline tutorial for moving, weapon firing/groups, heat, basic tactics (ECM, cover, focus firing), mechbay. Reward in Cbills based on your performance during the tutorial.
  • 25-50 first matches you will drop in a seperate queue with other beginners only.

My biggest pet peeve is people who can't distinguish BattleTech from MechWarrior.

Considering there is a tabletop subgame of battle tech called mechwarrior, i think some gamers have justification for being confused.

There is lots of changes the devs can do. It would be nice if they actually did try some of it in this beta. What you are talking about should of course be implemented. Other games do it and they do it for a reason.

I disagree. When I was PUGging I learned to stay closer to my teammates. Fire on the same enemy they were shooting. I also learned how important communication is. I just can't type and kill at the same time.

Yip. One of the biggest flaws atm and one which should have a higher priority then anything else since it influences PGI's income directly.

ATM the only workaround for noobs is to join us on TS and get coached.

Yes i grew up with MechWarrior being both an RPG and a Video game. Don't understand the confusion one may have.

MechWarrior

With all these games having the name MechWarrior I can't understand how anyone would be confused. <_< :)

Yup. I just wanted to make it clear, as not everybody is experienced enough to see this.

The best games are the ones where everyone has 1-2 kills and a low damage scores if you have two guys with 3 kills and over 1000 damage you have to question what the hell everyone else was doing.

I agree with OP, i have some friends that tried play MWO just for 1 day they stop playing. I asked why ? they said that they suck at this game because they always loose. They did not know that a lot of premade in the match, they just think they suck so they don't want to play MWO better play other games that they good at. I was sad really because i asked them to play MWO so this game could make it in the market and i love battle tech universe.

No you don't! The situation you just described is having a hot game, or using one of the powerful "cheese" builds very effectively.

Why do we keep hearing this bullsh*t? This is a TEAM based game. Tired of getting stomped go find yourself some friends to team up with.
