Yes it's a fresh clean install of MWO.

Still regularly getting massive lag spikes, warping, jerking and rubberbanding since the netcode change in the previous patch. Some battles it's so bad my mech is entirely uncontrollable so I just have to quit. My ping is stable at 110 ms also during the lag times, it's pure server lag.

Big increase in FPS, or should I say "big restore" - up until November I was getting 50-60 fps at 1920x1080 with everything maxed out apart from AA. Every patch since then had dropped me a few fps until I was running at between 25-35 fps. After the patch I am back on 50-60, so kudos for that!

My ping has gotten slightly better, however I also switched from wireless to wired connection so it is hard to say if it was the patch or the change - anyways ping in the high 80s is good enough for me:)

Yes well about the new screens at the start and end i love it...and well the strtup sequence...BUT!

my PC is slow loading since its low spec...and thus...i end up never seeing who is in the match, so i have to take a peek when ingame and lose a few seconds while watching it (disadvantage for low spec and slow system players).

as for the startup sequence...since i am loading slow i end up seeing nothing of the startup sequence (only if someone is much slower) and only see my cockpit like i would have shutdown my mech until the game starts which is even more boring since i can even use the time to look at whos with me in the team and what mechs.

i love the after match screen...but why is the time limited at the end? why cant we stay and chat a little if we want to? or wont the mechs return for others until the last one left the end screen? the force exit is just not needed if its not bound to other players not getting their mechs back...but if it is i sure can understand the reason.

saying this...anyone else out there with a slow and low end system that has this troubles? and feels like a disadvantage due to it? or even misses the startup sequence and start roster screen?

No change.

during countdown 60FPS.

when mechs are moving (including me) 25-40FPS

10-25 fps in battle (depends on how many mechs are in the screen)

Settings on low. v-sync off

Intel QuadCore i5-3450 3.1GHz
Nvidia GeForce GTX 560 Ti
8GB of RAM
Windows 7 64 bit

it sounds strange but,

my first game today ran fluid (50-60FPS) for the most time! on caustic.
the next games were as descriped above?! really worse.
now whats that?

I have noticed a slight increase in fps. More importantly, the rate seems to be far more consistent now than it has been before. I think this shows some improvement in connectivity although the only way this is really going to improve is to launch regional servers (EU, Asia, etcetera).

The UI on the scoring screens is a huge improvement and I think the designers should be applauded for this change.

I have had the client crash on me multiple times today, usually during the start-up sequence.
I have not had this kind of crash issue since the MechLab bug a while ago. Its making the game barely playable when 2/3 of the matches I join crashes me.

You're in Croatia and you have a better ping than I do and I'm in the north east region of the US! I've been playing with a ping of around 150ms since the Jan 15th patch and have been in contact with my ISP (Verizon) to see if the problem is related to them or the game servers. I can ping other servers as far as California and still be below 80ms. I've posted on Verizon's support forums and have not seen any response from them at all. I'm considering going back to Comcast cable internet as this is rediculous.

And how are your PPC's? Is that lag directly proportional to ping, or are there other factors influencing it?

most of the time I usually would pilot my FLAME and rarely get any 4fps bug. Then I started to pilot awesomes, and my hunchback a couple of rounds yesterday, and I've noticed when playing with flame I only get the 4fps bug once or twice for short amount of times during a drop. When in my Awesome or 1 of 3 of my hunchbacks I would get the 4fps bug 3-5 times per match and the durations would be anywhere from 10-20 seconds. So yeah I'm just throwing that out there so yall can look into it and see whats up.

I have similar ping rates and am fine most of the time. I would suggest that you uninstall the game then re-download it. I found in the past that the patcher left performance behind in comparison to a fresh download. While I have not had this recently, I did find this helped against patches that lowered my performance.

Large decrease in FPS , almost unplayable. I lost 30-50%

Tested at custom, medium and low graphics levels.

A brief glimmer of hope while it's loading in the cockpit above 30fps then down 7-20max for the game, usually near 12.

i7-260QM @ 2.20ghz
8GB Ram
Radeon 6990M

I'm getting 30fps at the main screen even, crazy...
I'm going to update my drivers and edit this post, could be that.

Edit: Same after reference driver install, perhaps a little worse. The second I look at a 3d object in the interface the fps goes to half, load in game and it's cut in half again at least. Not sure whats going on.

Most performance appears to be improved, however I have noticed that the firing delay for weapons seems to be signficantly worse with this most recent patch.

I'm getting a pretty large FPS drop, i7 mobile core with 6990M. I was happily chugging away north of 30fps on high before the latest patch, down to a third of that in game most of the time. Anyone else having this sort of issue? It seems like most people had a performance increase.
I had some older drivers so dl the latest catalyst reference drivers, about the same. I'll try to find some beta drivers.

Edit: Latest Beta drivers had no effect. Main screen 60fps, click on mechlab 30fps, in game is worse.
back to main screen, 60fps.

If there is a place to put BUGS then please move this post there for me please. thx :)

At least I would describe it as a rubberband effect.

When I use my Centurion and Commandos (both +80KPH) I have been running into a bug that causes both my Torso and Vector(?) to move.

EXP: Commando

I start the game by Running straight forward. No issues.

I then attempt to follow a fellow light. Turn 45 degrees left. A moment after I have finished turning, my mech will suddenly shift, as if I had only made a 40 degree left turn.

This also happens with my torso twisting when moving at high speeds.

It is unnoticeable/non-existent in my Awesome (sub 70KPH).

No problems here so far.

All I know is that I can finally play while having a stream or movie open on a second monitor while also having a web browser open.

If I tried to even run chrome before this patch at the same time as MWO it would tank my fps to 20 or lower, now I can hold 30-40 while running everything I mentioned before.

I did however do a complete uninstall and reinstall as of this patch, have you tried that?
