T-Wolf is the same.

Basically so far the clan mechs are mostly CT. Especially the big ones.

So either the people I keep fighting in them cannot shoot worth diddly....

Or they spread damage well despite that.

Well, I may have exaggerated a bit. The biggest CTs seem to be the assaults, and the T-Wolf. The others are a bit more reasonable, however, you still really can't miss the CT easily. You have to have good torso twisting to survive in a clan mech.

Fixed that for you. :)

Though it is somewhat more pronounced with the Clan chassis. :)

I've noticed that the Griffin, Wolverine, and Firestarter are still missing. Maybe a few other IS mechs.

I've got Griffins and Firestarters, so if someone had premium time we could go in a 1v1 private and test some stuff.

The 7-Jet, 55-ton mediums might make a comeback after the recent JJ changes. Might be nice to get their hitboxes documented.

The thread is in need of updating for a while now. Hopefully that will happen soon. Again, I have premium time running, and I volunteer my mechs for testing.

I have picked up the banner, and am posting updated hitbox localization here.

A big "thank you" to Rainbow Unikorn, Voodu777 and all the others who helped make this thread. But since it's been a while since the thread was updated (and hitboxes have been changed) and there are missing mechs, I decided to complete this task.

I am willing to donate time and mechs to help with the hitbox research.

I have been operating under the assumption that I need to hit exactly the same spot within any hit box for my weapons to be most effective. I am wondering if all I need to do is hit the same hit box every time or should I continue to try to focus on hitting exactly the same spot within the hit box every time?

This thread is old, but your question is valid.

All you need to do is continue to hit the same hit box (also referred to as a "component") to continue damaging it. You don't have to hit the exact same spot.

AKA: A shot at the foot and a shot at the knee will each cause the same damage to the same hit box. It doesn't matter where you hit the leg.
