I humbly present another Pony Tale for your amusement.
Game Night.
Twilight Sparkle and Pinkie Pie wrap up a long night of math tuttoring with Pinkie none the wiser for thier efforts. Twilight decides to take another tac in an effort to engage the pink mare more fully.
"Listen Pinkie, math is just another language see? Even Winona can plot the shortest course between herself and a ball thrown into the pond. It doesn't mean she can communicate effectively in Calculus, but she can use it, and she's just a dog."
Pinkie Pie's frustrated sigh told Twilight she wasn't buying it. "So I'm dummer than a dog?"
"No!" Twilight was quick to deny. "Here, let's try this! My brother gave me a Brigade of Ponytech Minis to organize for him, he just doesn't have a head for logistics and the T.O.E. for the system." she said as she slid a large leather bound volume entitled Total Warfare from the shelves.
"What is that?" Pinkie eyed the dark tome with suspicion. "Another book full of fancy mathematics? I'm done with that for today"
"It's a game! A party game!" Twilght answered pulling down three boxes and laying them out. "You build and paint these playing piecies, then move them around the board. It's like chess with cannons."
"Really?" Asked Pinkie as she began to perk up. With a start she brightened saying. "There's a game with Party Cannons?"
Relieved, Twilght forced a smile and said "You could put it that way." "Here take a look, I painted these myself."
With a little more encouragement Twilight and Pinkie have the board set up and go over the rules. Pinkie Pie brushed over that part and assured Twilight that she would remember them well enough for both of them.
Twilight thumbed through her brothers unit, the Gaijinsu, looking for a good scenario. Soon she and Pinkie were pushing thier Ponytech minis across the board. Little did Pinkie realize the extent to which she was picking up the fundamentals of probability theory and practice in the process.
As the game progressed, Pinkie twitched yelping "Grok!".
Twilight gave her a strange look as Pinkie muttered something about all of the die roles next turn getting all flaky and unreliable. As Pinkie pulled her Ponytech forces back, sure enough, Twilight found herself unsuccessfull in the fire phase.
On the subsequent turn Pinkie's ears twitched and hooves tapped as she blinked furiously. She then pushed her jump capable Ponytech minis into the heart of the fray and wreaked havoc on Twilight's armour column.
"I don't understand!" Twilight cried. "The odds of that maneuver beiing a success to that degree are 1x10 to the -27 against!" Her dismay writ large across her face.
"I don't think you understand the low order probability of some of your decisions Pinkie" Twilight began in a cautionary voice. "If you continue to push your luck..." Twilight's advice was over whelmed by her vibrating pink asailant as Pinkie cried "Charge! Discord take the hindmost!"
Twilight could only smile as she facehoofed. Pinkie senses knew more about probabilities than she did. Perhaps her next lesson would have to be taken with a round of Mare Warrior Online. She'd designed a new mech, a Dragon! 4 ERPPCs resonated well with her Unicorn sensibilities, and as for armour, well, she wasn't normally much for barding anyway.
Thank you for your time in reading through this small effort. I hope you enjoyed it and will find better fortunes than Twilight in MWO.
Respectfully
Samaritan

An Astech's work is never done. Here we find Rarity working on one of the oldest mechs known to the Ponysphere, the "P@ckie". Battletech was pony before pony was cool.
Please enjoy this Equestrian pun on the venerable Mackie.
