But I must be honest I don't know if I would want it because honestly how fast can the Tech's slap on new plates of armour and reload you weapons?? I am thinking a lot longer than a few seconds

The MW3 Mobile Field Base was horrific and yet another contrivance to make a single player game less daunting. Repairing mechs takes hours for all but the lightest of work.
The idea that reloading a mech is easy amuses me to no end as realistically armor would be heaviest over ammunition storage and thus not the easiest to access due to needing to be able to survive battle damage.

Notice how I said game mode, no one would force you to play it. It's an alternative to team death match or capture the flag.
One team could be defending, the other attacking.. or just have straight up 2 mirrored bases to prevent imbalances.
Then you could always do a dropship battle too. I guess the possibilities are kind of endless now that I think of it. haha.

I want a Battletech game, not an arcade game with instant mitigation of one's problems like emptying your ammo bins, burning your heat sinks, or damage in general.

I'm talking about "mitigating empty ammo bins" by instant reloads from a MFB, rather than just dumping ammo (which was more damage control, and could be done in seconds anyway without an MFB.)
