I absolutely agree. The game is not perfect, and I look forward to the additional changes made to make the game even better! The upcoming ELO matchmaking I am incredibly excited for, as well as, further in the future, CW!
Thanks PGI!

And you know what... I saw your thread throwing a big fit a few minutes ago. How about you stick to your own threads to throw a fit in instead of polluting mine with your negativity and malcontent behavior? You know... show some class.

Really? The game is beta, and the spending of MC is completely optional. There have been many bugs fixed, including just recently, I believe the power shutdown screen bug, retuned laser heat levels, tuned jump jets to be more useful, and added new more useful before and after match screens / ability to chat.
On top of that, ELO matchmaking is on its way (major development), finally a way to interrupt ECM with PPCs and a new map this month as well as a new map next month.
All of that does not even cover everything, but development is producing far more than just more MC content

Yes, the after game chat is quite useful; it lets me know how many other people absolutely hate all of the new changes. Oh, and I still get the bugs, along with some new ones.

It won't do anything; aside from people trashing their scores on purpose, the most likely outcome is that there will be a huge split in scores and premades will fill out with low-scoring veterans against new, inexperienced players who haven't trashed their ELO yet. In other words, more PUGstomp bull****.

Yea, now, when you are fighting a fast light that you can't hit with anything but missiles, you can use missiles after you hit it with- wait a minute!
If you could hit a lagshielded Raven with a PPC in the first place, you wouldn't need the EMP effect.

Just to gain some understanding.
You get trolled when you post.
So you think that trolling is required? Someone else wasn't doing it so you decided to take on the responsibility yourself?
.........Interesting.........

So the probability of a win for the group is what modifies the amount of ELO change for each member of the group. As an example, here are 2 teams...the probability of a win for Team A is 93.024% and Team B's is 6.976%.
Team A (Group Rating = 1575):
Win:
800 = 800 + 50 x (1 - .9302) = 803.49
1300 = 1300 + 50 x (1 - .9302) = 1303.49
2200 = 2200 + 50 x (1 - .9302) = 2203.49
2000 = 2000 + 50 x (1 - .9302) = 2003.49
Loss:
800 = 800 - 50 x (1 - .0698) = 753.49
1300 = 1300 - 50 x (1 - .0698) = 1253.49
2200 = 2200 - 50 x (1 - .0698) = 2153.49
2000 = 2000 - 50 x (1 - .0698) = 1953.49
Team B (Group Rating = 1125):
WIn:
500 = 500 + 50 x (1 - .0698) = 546.51
1000 = 1000 + 50 x (1 - .0698) = 1046.51
2000 = 2000 + 50 x (1 - .0698) = 2046.51
1000 = 1000 + 50 x (1 - .0698) = 1046.51
Loss:
500 = 500 + 50 x (1 - .9302) = 496.51
1000 = 1000 + 50 x (1 - .9302) = 996.51
2000 = 2000 + 50 x (1 - .9302) = 1996.51
1000 = 1000 + 50 x (1 - .9302) = 996.51
So the process to drop your ELO would be tedious, especially because scores are averaged for the group and involve letting yourself get stomped repeatedly. As soon as you started to PUGstomp again though, you would begin quickly rising in ELO. Yes, some dedicated few may go through the process of getting rolled over and over again to drop, and then win some, and then get rolled, etc... but I find it hard to imagine that will be the norm.

Wow, that's a lot of wasted work.
You see, the biggest problem is that it is going to balance teams by ELO, which means that high ELO players will get matched with very low ELO players, both of which groups are likely to be more experienced, since, as you note, it takes a while to change your score, matched against a team of mostly new players, since they're ELO will be in the middle.
Beyond that, I fear that you seriously underestimate the tenacity of serious game jerks.

Perhaps I do underestimate serious game jerks, but I am not seeing the issue with ELO.
If you have a team of new players with average ELO, and a team of veterans with half high ELO and half low ELO creating an average team ELO, the win percentage will be close, meaning the team that wins will get a decently sized boost to their score, and the losing team will take a decently sized loss. After several matches the veteran squad will be pushed up as each individually has their scores are raised after every match. They would then have to lose to drop, etc...and that process would yes, result in some PUGstomps, but also at least an equal amount of times of letting PUGs beat them...
And the calculations I posted took about 5 minutes, and I did it for another thread, where people had a complete misunderstanding about how ELO would be calculated. Its a public service. Ha, ha.

BUT!
A few great strides does not mean they are now exempt from all criticism. People on this forum would be well served to remember that "Beta" is not an excuse for flaws, but rather a reason that flaws must be pointed out loudly and repeatedly until they are addressed and fixed. "IT'S A BETA!" is not a valid excuse, but should be the rallying cry for people to air their grievances and complaints without pause.

Right.
That is what THESE look like.
Telling someone that their opinion / post is wrong / ridiculous based on your opinion. TROLLING.
If you don't agree, that is fine. Some of the statements you have made are valid points, and you can have your own thoughts and ideas, dislikes, etc.
However, the OP gets the same freedom of opinion.
If you don't like getting trolled, don't do it to someone else.
Now. If we are done, I suggest we all go take out our aggression on some unsuspecting Raven 3L.

No, as the vets scores inch up, they will get matched with newbies, who will lose and drag them back down.
You're really just not thinking this through.

I am not understanding your point. Is this to mean you think the vets with low ELO will never rise, because as they do, they will eventually hit the average ELO range where newbies start, and lose matches with those new PUG players they are grouped with, and drop again?
Am I understanding you correctly?

Yep; and it turns into a never-ending cycle as even without new players, they will inch up, start getting matched against premades, and drop again.
