Shameless bump. This video should be mandatory watching for anyone discussing the OP/nonOP status of the A1.

doubleAC20 is harder to use and puts out less damage. Less QQ, more attention to actual OP builds.

Make the SRMs a tighter spread and lower damage, and things will be fine.

It's not the SRM that's the problem, but the fact the cat can go anywhere it pleases, and take on anyone it wants.

honestly most of the problems stem from the hardpoint problems, then you put the catapault's crazy torso twist and side torso on top of that and you have big issues

They fire them at longer range, and hit more often, doing a similar total aggregate damage over time.

Right now, SRMs are too good when all the missiles hit. However since it is trivial for a mech loaded with only SRMs and an engine to get into close range to actually hit with the missiles, their spread is not a real drawback.

Lower alpha and the problem is solved.

this doesn't fix the a1 tho it just makes it better because i can now do the same thing only further away from you

all this does in hurt other builds that use SRMs and the A1 can keep doing what it's doing from farther away
