I added all the 'Mechs in TRO: 3050, as well as a few bonus 'Mechs that were in service at the time. The Mad Cat is the cleche choice here, so I'm going to be cleche and choose it. There's a reason why it's appeared on so many Battletech products. It's a beautiful and unique design that always makes your think "BattleMech" and not "mecha". The D configuration is especially fun, matching head-capping ERPPCs with crit-finding SSRM-6s.

No you didn't. I don't see the Jenner IIC in there and I love that mech.

From this list my favorite mechs to pilot from MW2 were the Firemoth and Mad dog.

When it comes to pure aesthetics and loadoouts the Timberwolf has everyone beat but I also do fancy the Ebon Jaguar as well.

The Jenner IIC was in TRO3055 not 3050.

Of those options, I'll have to go with the obvious and much loved Timber Wolf.
Such an iconic mech, and probably the first mech that a majority of players know.
Probably. No real way to know for sure without asking them all.

Actually not a bad idea for another thread, first mech you were introduced to.

Think mine was the Jenner, from the second crescent hawks game. I originally played them out of order, lol.

Putting another vote for the Warhawk, a fine piece of mech that often gets overshadowed by the hordes of people praising the Thor and Mad Cat.

Give me a Warhawk C to play with and I would not want anything else on this poll

Timber Wolf, but closely followed by the Mad Dog and Warhawk. So many designs, so little time...

As much as I like the Timberwolf I went with the Stormcrow. The B variant packs an UAC 20 and 6 ER mediums, pretty good armor and a good top speed. If I am playing as a Clan force there is almost allways a Stormcrow B in my force.

Never understood the infatuation with the Timber Wolf. Always seemed like the pilot would be incredibly exposed with that protruding cockpit. That said, my favorite is the Ebon Jaguar which also has a protruding cockpit, but at least it's somewhat shielded from the sides by its arms.

Close second and third from this time period are the Warhawk and Hellbringer. Nothing like unleashing obscene ionized death on your enemies from afar, and the 'bringer, though fragile, is amusingly well armed for its tonnage!

Of the clan invasion my favorite is definitely the Thor. Since I first saw it in the Mechwarrior 3 intro, I loved that design. I'm a freeborn, yes, but I still admire my enemies mech. And will jump in one to haul it back to the mechlab if I can. :)

I ******* love the puma/adder, but it ****** me off that the hitboxes on that shell meant that in certian versions, any hit was a cockshot. (And by that, I mean cockpit shot.)

The Warhawk is a great assault mech. As far as heavies go, I like the Timberwolf as stated before but playing with Jade Falcon has made me take a liking to the Summoner & Hellbringer. If I had to take a medium it would be a Stormcrow,

The Timber Wolf has always been my favourite 'Mech. A nice blend of armour and speed, coupled with a very customizable loadout make this 'Mech, IMO, one of the most versatile ones out there.

Cauldron Born, hands down. It's prime config has a weapon for every range and the mech itself has a nice low profile. Don't get me wrong I love the Timberwolf (:) as well, but it just isn't as classy as the Cauldron Born.

Give me a Summoner any day of the week, against any enemy.

With my favorite heavy IS mech being a Grasshopper you might expect me to go with the Summoner, but I've always found the design a bit lacking somehow. I do love the Timberwolf though, excellent blend of armor, firepower and speed IMO, I like its lower half twin brother the Mad Dog as well.

Ugh, how can one possibly choose only one?
Adder, Maddog, Hellbringer, Summoner, Timberwolf, Stormcrow, Warhawk are all mechs I greatly enjoy (in no particular order).

/Merf - Variation brings flavour

I'm not a filthy clanner, but how can you say no to the まさかり / Warhawk? 4 ERPPCs would melt any of you Timberwolf Fanboys.

But it looks much better, too.
