The Davion Puppet-state cannot be considered to have any important role in the Inner Sphere, for they do not but spill the blood of those they once called brothers, at the beck and call of the very House the Confederation was formed to protect against.
This illegal rogue collection was created when a woman who once dared to call herself Liao pawned her body to one of the most bloody spies in history, responsible for the misery and conquest of millions of Capellan people and dozens of worlds. She, confronted with the truth of her lover's disgusting treachery, turned her back on all those who she was obliged to protect and safeguard, as well as aiding in this mass murderer's escape. She then perverted and abused the power and responsibility of her esteemed heritage to rip a Commonality of the Confederation from it, taking with it many Capellan citizens, who trusted House Liao to guide their future and were thus easily mislead by the Grand *****. And why did she do this? Why, to weaken the Capellan People, secure in the knowledge that her Davion Masters would allow her to rule St. Ives as her own personal fief, her own little nest-egg, so that she could live a long life of utter decadence with her butcher of a seducer Justin. And she went so far as to even war against the righteous Capellan Confederation in support of the Fedrat scum, shedding the lives of men and women who actually have honor, so that she may preserve her own ill gotten gains. No man or woman alive can claim the same depth of weakness and pathetic, shallow treachery.
Thankfully, it seems that, despite rumors to the contrary, the ***** of St.Ives has realized the depths of her wretched immorality and has returned the St. Ives Commonality to the loving embrace of the Confederation. And while she could never erase the sins of disloyalty she has committed, perhaps the clean execution she has so obviously earned for herself (though never, never the Butcher Allard, may he die a miserable death at the hands of the truth-seeking Maskirovka and may the information they extract slay a thousand Fedrat scum for each Capellan that died or suffered because of the information he stole) with this act will allow her to gain some measure of redemption in death.
Truly, the light of the Capellan People shines bright, if it can open the eyes of one so blind as Candace, who deserves no other name.
Edit: Note that I was not calling her some petty curse in the asterisks, but rather stating that she is a woman of negotiable affection, in this case for the entire St. Ives Commonality.
