I limited my FPS to 55 and seems SO FAR to have cured the crash. I mean this is ridiculous that a rig capable of running this game normally well above 70-80fps must limit itself to less than 60fps to even work?! I wonder what went wrong, was it the LRM fix they did(penetration or whatever) and the sound fix with crackling sounds(which is still there) or what?

I've had no real problems up until the mini-patch that was released today 2/26. I have attempted to play 5 games now and my client has locked up and crashed 3 of the 5 times within the first 30 seconds of the game. My PC is capable of running MWO on very high at 60FPS, so I am not sure what the deal is, but today's patch has brought my playing to a halt. Please advise

For the last few patches I've been getting some games where I get a massive ping spike (sometimes 3000-4000) which eventually leads to a 'connection loss' crash.

Nothing works for me. Another patch that broke the game for me and now wasting my premium time. Sigh..

Continually crashing to desktop. The last few times it seems to happen when I click to spectate the rest of the match.

System Specs:
Core i3 530 @ 2.93 GHz
4GB DDR 3 1333 MHz
EVGA GTX 560Ti w/1GB GDDR5

on today 2/26 i was pushed a new patch. i had been playing stable since hte last micro patch after the feb 19th patch. today i crash 100% of the time. i join a match,it displays the game members. as soon as the start up cut through would load, it crashed back down to lobby on every mech attempted.
  • Was any error message provided with the crash, if so, which? nothing just back in the lobby with the mech locked in game
  • Where in the game or menus did the crash occur? after player joined crashing where the mech start up seq would play
  • What steps had been taken prior to the crash occurring? i was forced a micro patch todya on 2/26. i had previously played today at 6 am EST. it is now 11:30 pm EST.
  • Does the crash re-occur for you if repeating those same steps? 100% re-occurance
  • What are your video settings, did you change them since last patch? 1920/1080 in full screen with all advanced settigns set to i level below max. this had been working all weekened with no crashs/
  • What are your System specs? (You can include them in a [spoiler] [ /spoiler]) intel extreme i7-975, 6Gb ram, win 7 64-bit video is a single EVGA nVidia 560 Ti, phys X card is a Gigabyte nVidia GT 640

after looking around i foudn the work around for settign max fps in the user.cfg. so far that keeps the F9 results in game at 58 FPS and it hasnt crashed yet in 5 games. i am not using any other system changes.

nvidia drivers are the 314 version from this week. single display running from SSD drive in a non-standard location

sys_MaxFPS = 52

I cannot even start match after last mini patch. Loader gets me to welcome screen, I log on and when I go into mech bay I cannot select mech. There are only white dots instead of mech. when I try to select another one the game crash to desktop. Whole weekend no problem. Only after last mini patch. Tried reinstall and redownload two times. No success

Never had a freeze problem until recently.

Now while playing, maybe every 5-6 matches, the game will simple freeze.

Ctrl+att+del for task manager indicates the game is not responding, and I must end it to close it.

Just had a crash I've never had before.

At least it gave me a reason this time.

Came up with a box with "Cryengine Handler" or something

then said

"Cryengine command buffer overflow!" something something.

Got the 2nd total game freeze since last major patch on 19/02.
Complete freeze, no reaction, had to kill MWO in taskmanager.
CPU-Load of MWO at 0%.
Both times different maps and situations. No pattern visible

EDIT:
Next game after last crash, other Map, other Mech, and:
total freeze again ! After 4:55 min
Just killed an Awesome, which was totally ignoring my light commando in his back.
I melted through, killed him and headed for next target...
Then MWO took me out of the battle

open your user.cfg file in notepad

add the following line
sys_MaxFPS = 52


it is the only line in my user.cfg and it fixed me after the mini patch broke me.

since latest patch my client freezes 1 out of every 3 matches and drops to desktop about 1 in 6 times.

This is a new problem. Client much more stable before this latest patch.

No errors, no warnings.

I went from perfect uninterrupted gameplay, to one or two games running fine then a crash in the middle of play. Each time I was conveniently kicking butt.

I have rotated drivers, and the latest beta driver gave me the most play. It has to be the patch that screwed me over.

Crash occurs during gameplay...no error message, just a black screen. Can end task on MWO's .exe and recover/restart the game. Crash is intermittent and non-repeatable (at least I haven't noticed a pattern).

Video settings:
All "High" except Object detail = "Very high"

since the last patch I have been having lock ups of the game which has not occurred in the past no new hardware or software has been added. It is locking up every 5 to 7 games.
