Base: 2 Laser Boats 1 Missile Variant Hero: Mix of everything Reinforcements: 2 Laser Boats Who in their right mind would get the reinforcements on this thing, they offer nothing at all?

At least one of the reinforcement mech is the only one I would be interested in and only if those energy hardpoint end up high in the torso.

No, strictly because the Mad IIC will go faster and won't be stuck at lowlander speed. The hitboxes I imagine will be about on par with each other.

It's not just speed, but also critslots. Energy builds almost always save enough tonnage to crank up the engine rating and save slots by using the in-engine slots.

It looks kinda neat. I've had Dire Wolf with full energy loadout and it's not great but playable. With supernova you have about the same tonnage but with better speed.

Still, currently any assult without ballistic is going to suck, so it's a bit odd to release that, people might not want to buy it unless they give it some really good quirks. Energy draw can greatly change that though. I personally dislike ballistic being so good I really look forward to ED being implemented.

SSW?

Solaris Skunk Werks.

It's basically the Tabletop equivalent of Smurfys mechlab. It's a pretty useful little app for theorycrafting gundam builds on, although it's constricted by TT build rules (e.g. engine must be a multiple of the mech's tonnage).

No mad cat MKII ever, confirmed!

Supernova will be the clan (non IIC) 90 ton battle mech.

The hero will be able to replicate a MKII.

So... yup... I guess Russ has spoken Imperius. Sad.. I know.

No sorry

Superharambe does not replicate the MKII (Hard point location matters to me, I'd still rather take a Dire Wolf if I'm going to shoot hills all the time.)

(Sorry if you see this in advance Alex! I love your art and your ability to make Battletech mechs look great. The Supernova looks great! This pic is just in reference the the post I have quoted)

I know.

I'm just telling you that is gonna be the answer that you will receive from PGI.
See how they are treating the flea. Their reason is that because we have the locust, the flea has no place.

They are wrong on the flea
and they will be wrong on this.

Yeah good job literally throwing $ away because if the MK II isn't out by Dec my wallet is closed. (I will only buy the MK II and that will be it my support will be done as of the last mech pack I bought which is the cyclops)

I don't get the desire for lights. We already have lights that do SRM vomit and laser vomit, what more could we need? dual gauss lights?

I admit, I do want a Fire Moth, but don't really care about any other lights.

Clans haven't any 20t mech at all and a good 25t mech would be good, not this **** Lynx.

My prediction:

Kodiak does everything this mech can do, but better...

More armor, more speed, better weapon mounts... And has retractable claws!!!

i wont be wasting my money on it. based on loadout, its too slow too energy dependant and not enough flexibility. basically like the dire wolf and a big walking target. Now if it had a variant that could match the Archer 5w in missile hard points so i could get a clan splat build that is the same it would be do able for me but as is, just a waste of money.

I created a thread. It has nothing to do with an MKII mechpack. (Russ is just torturing you... because he can.)

Nevertheless, it'll be HUGE.

Only work I've checked out of his is reading the entire Knights of Sidonia manga. It was pretty good IMHO.

It's filled with references to his earlier works. KoS is Nihei taking concepts he introduced in his earlier, more cryptic manga and making it accessible by placing it in a more mainstream format (wonder kid with mecha and a harem).

BLAME! is his best one, and also his first one. It's pure spectacle and the art is imposing.
