Aimbotting tends to be pretty easy to spot in first person games. Wallhacks not so much. Aimbots would be a huge problem in this game, but it has first person spectating, and I have yet to see a single case that made me suspicious of aimbotting. Wallhacks are hard to tell, because you get iff around corners.

Aimbots 'aint the problem. If you were in the real beta testing group then perhaps I could tell you.

Unfortunately I am not though I know some who are and I have an inside line (and know where the sites I mentioned are). I have been very vocal in the past about who was chosen and why. Anyway, didn't someone mention they were going to go get a third party to beta test? I don't think PGI realize that some very well known black hat gamers have MWO in their sights. I hope they can get this third party beta testing group up and running ASAP.

Hopefully, better beta testing and proper regression testing will do wonders for this game!

That is my hope too. That said the real wonders would occur if Bryan and Russ were replaced! One can but only dream.

EDIT: I thought I should be fair and add that only Russ needs replacing, as I imagine he is the one riding Bryan and holding that carrot on a stick.

Well as has been mentioned, a certain well known site is selling a hack suite despite them stating previously that they wouldn't create one out of respect for the game. But you know, once a hacker always a hacker and these dishonest degenerates obviously couldn't help themselves.

I just can't understand why you'd want an aimbot or triggerbot in this game. It's hardly going to help you gauss a moving target at any range is it :D Ah but to think about ballistics is to exhibit a degree of intelligence completely absent from these oxygen thieves.

It is the radar hack that is problematic, not the aimbot.

The only cheat I have noticed is people messing with their connection to give themselves a lag shield. This is a problem in many games and is a tricky one to stop IIRC.

Unfortunately my connection tends to leave me lagging around on occation despite having a good ping and I am still at a loss to figure out what causes it. Maybe it's the game, maybe my cable trunk line is overloaded, I don't know. I do know that I've spent about $200 trying to improve it and so far I still have issues. So just remember - some people aren't jacking with their connection even if it looks like they may be.

Most of the rest of the stuff I see is messing around with the user.cnf and macros. So far PGI says this is OK but I don't do it.

Actually that's a fair point.

I don't think most of what you think are hacks are actually hacks. Testing Grounds has trained players to know where to shoot the various mechs where they are weak. Know where they can be backshot, etc.

I would be very careful about when you bring your mech to a halt. You become an enormously fat target when you stop moving. A crack shot will have you down in about 5 seconds.

Spoken like a true hacker.

Just joking... :P

No you are not.

They're running damage control so they don't have to buy new ones.

It's always funny to see the seagulls come out. (eat, squawk, and poop)

If your ELO stats put you into a queue that people need this kind of crap to fight you. You are an amazing pilot.

I've been in a position, in one game, where I kept hammering this Hunchback in the right torso from 1200 meters. It didn't help him that he kept popping up over the ridge I was looking at *in the same place* every time, and retreating the instant he got hit. Only to come back up in the same place, again. By the time he wised up and just charged and kept moving, my teammates were free of the other fights occurring on that hill and took him down pretty quick.

He commented about '******* snipers' and 'I smell a hacker.' Nitwit; I'm in a fire support mech, perfectly positioned to see the area. I don't need a hack or an aimbot or any form of cheat to take advantage of another pilot's timidity, poor timing, and lousy strategy.

This hacks in mwo subject always gives me a few lulz.... In all the games i have played so far not one single questionable thing has been seen. Only game breaking glitches, but they get fixed with time. Really think before you say someones cheating.

And on another note, most of these hits when searching for aim-bots and crap are phishing websites as well as a lot of dangerous files that are disguised to catch the guppies who download them. The sky isn't falling.

That is all.

If you think that guy just killed you because he is a hacker, he probably isn't

However, if you think there are simply no hacks in this game, you might be and probably are wrong.

I've seen stuff that makes me scratch my head, but nothing I could outright cry HAX! over.

Ive personally witnessed a pilot in a jaggermech turn his legs from red to yellow.... however I highly doubt they'll do much about it =s
