really? name them please lol Id love to see that list. So I know what to buy and what exactly is "cheese" if its what I suspect it is in this game.
Im assuming K2s with gauss or ac20 oh and splatapults
kinda figuring all lrm builds WONT be on this list also

Why would the highest damage most easily boatable weapon not be on that list?

I find it strange how MWO has alot of teams, but so few of them play 8 man premades... If this game were truly focused on actual skill and tactical play, wouldnt alot more teams prefer playing 8 man premades because they like a fair, balanced and tactical/strategic match between 2 teams where skill and tactics win the day and not who has the most ECM and cheesebuilds?

There is something wrong with this picture.... Dont you devs see the red flags here?

Didn't you already get yourself owned with screenshots of you and your team in the 8-man queue? What are you still doing spouting this rhetoric?

Yes, it is. Is every single mech equally skill-based? Obviously not. However, the fact that I can take out all these supposed cheese mechs without using a so-called cheese build myself certainly implies that something other than that factor is often the primary determinant for victory.

Start with the JR7-D Jenner and work your way up. Anything that can do 30 damage in an Alpha can kill any Mech in the game in 3 shots.

Better, anything that can do a 12 damage Alpha can kill any Mech in the game in 3 shots but we'll be nice and ignore cockpit kills just for you.

so we need them to triple the armor then ok sounds grand lol

the easiest to counter in "learning to play" (not that anyone wants to do that ofc) added to equipment counters in game? That weapon system? Thats pretty much why.

Like SSRM2s?
they have hard counters, ECM, AMS, hills, rocks, buildings, bridges etc, and you need LOS and they have a short range. And they only do 5 damage per launcher

(but they still cheese)

No I'm not.

The Atlas line has 28 rear ct armor stock and 62 internals.

Ok so Lrms do not count because you are unable to use them properly? If they are using cover you should have found a better position or a friend ;)

No. I'm talking about the whole "Lance full of D-DCs and Ravens" thing. Stop moaning. You got caught.

Terrible Mech. Put 4 PPCs and a Gauss on an Atlas, do practically the same Alpha damage, run cooler, and have a 0-heat option.

no because they are more easily countered than any other weapon in the game.
What other weapon system has two equipment pieces dedicated to making them useless?
ECM AND AMS

If they put in things that shoot down ballistics and PPC fire then yeah Ill agree to include them.

Its about ECM, streaks, and cheese, and no knockdowns. (no I didnt say steak and cheese...)

The purity of the game is sullied by these things. Skill? doesnt matter... Tactics? very little...

I'm guessing you haven't played in a while. ECM was a bandaid to take care of the most obvious problem. Now they've made ecm mostly useless and the problem is back in full force. I can once again sit in the rear with the gear and launch salvo after salvo of missiles. I can once again parade around in my completely out of balance mech and rack up points and kills with little risk.
Well that didn't last long, boring chit. Looking for a game that has some challenge to spend my money on. This one is obviously kitties (slang for) are l337.

this game has TONS of skill involved if you choose to, it depends on what mech you like to run and the stratages of engaugement you have to take to win with that mech.

so if you choose the easiest mechs with streaks and ecm then fine enjoy your easy mode, but if you take lesser optimal builds or even one trick ponies you have to fight in particular ways and not get caught out, that's the base level of skills right there and i haven't even started on the mission tactics {i admit there aren't many there} nor the teamplay stratagies {there's too many of them} all which take practice to develope winning SKILLS!

Right but you can still walk up to somebody, tag them and 2shot them....AMS=worthlless? I am starting to think your idea of an LRM boat is a catapult...

More dependent on luck than skill if you are a pug. No amount of skill will help you if you teammates are terrible. Learning to counter the cheese takes skill.

Are you serious about that ecm comment? lol
I dare you to do that in a game i'm in, you'll be dead real fast ;) ;)
