It might just be speculation, but putting "Clans" and "further story lines" together made me immediately think Clan Factions instead of player-based "Clans" (Guilds, units, etc.)

Also, a bunch of information has been dropping that Merc Units will be part of Phase 1.

Fair enough. You're going to be far better informed than I am, so I'm not about to start arguing. =P
I really hope we don't have to wait that long got Clan mechs though...

Everything listed as "April/May" and later should be +1 month. HSR for ballistics is May at the earliest.

According to last week's NGNG Podcast, HSR is supposed to be completed by the end of May.

Updated for Patch Notes. Look for big announcement on features coming with the ATD35 Answers and the April Dev Update later this week (or early next week)

Which, when it failed to materialize, was updated to "We delayed it until April. There was a small technical issue to resolve."

There is every reason to expect it to arrive in the next patch. Certainly MORE reason and official word to that feature coming in April than for a Highlander hero mech

Reading the content trackers/Ask the Devs and listening to the interviews really keeps a player informed with what is happening within MechWarrior Online, and the content coming out looks great, but any word on new maps? I love Tourmaline but I'm craving another, even if it's a month or two away!

If anyone has heard anything, point me in the right direction please!

3 more maps on the slate: Canyons, Moon Base, and Volcano (not officially named yet)

Should be a new map released next month.

Some mechs, according to the Lore of the franchise, wielded massive melee weapons.

It's something that hasn't even seen programming yet, but the Devs have said that they would like to do it eventually.

So here's a 'confronting the main issue of the day' as Nicholas Carlyle requested:

Reading through reports of 'HUD issues.' Details given: 'disco ball when i launch', 'I get a black screen when I start.' 'I have latest drivers'.

We do a spam test (basically get 30 computers and constantly log into and out of matches.) - CNR (Cannot Reproduce) after a few hundred attempts. We run stress tests - same computers get into a match spam every weapon possible, end the match, go back in, etc. - CNR. Change settings, run the stress test another few hundred times - CNR.

So while we might have some ideas of what could cause it, if we can't reproduce it, it's pretty tough to fix.

Also, consider that: we use, say, 50 computers. Run a hundred tests on each, that's 500 tests. Within the opening minutes of a patch release we've had thousands of people playing matches. So something we can't get (see above) they might get dozens, hell hundreds of times. The sheer number of possible combinations of hardware, software, etc, means a lot of this testing is trial and error.

Once we get a hold on what is causing this, I'll let you guys know.

Honestly, I don't buy the "you won't have to pay premium to be in a merc unit" shpeal yet, as it was never directly stated (only that Bryan had a lot of interviews and somethings were quoted improperly and they were considering a lot of things; never directly stated as 'No, it's not really happening').

But great work thus far.

Still no mention of decals in the OP timeline? I believe this was stated to be included with the introduction of factions.

notta big fan of cockpit items, I wish they had spent that time on this instead... "Ability to Customize Actual Mech Model itself (Alternate Heads, Shoulders, etc.)" we just ask for the wrong things sometimes >:P
