The Urban Mech is supposed to look like a round flip lid trash can isn't it? I would totally get one just for the fun of it.

What about making the urbie a command platform? The only mech that can mount the dreaded upcomming modules for arty and Air strikes as well as updated command functions like satalite linking to view the battlefield in real time? And the ability to issue commands and direct fighting?

This might make it less horrible!

Your post implies that in its current condition the urbie has negative attributes [/ignore]

I don't know how many active players there are, but why not have Urbies drop with other Urbies? Kind of like WoT, where tier I tanks only face tier I and II tanks. Have Urbies face off against other Urbies. It's a win/win situation. Those of us who want the Urbie can play it, and those who hate it due to it's perceived poor suitability in game, won't have to worry about having one on their team and being "gimped by it's uselessness". Or come up with some sort of other special Urbie game mode.

That would be weight class match options like lights VS lights.

I would like that. And gimped? With 360 torso twist and most likely the FASTEST torso twist speed it would keep you in it's aim constantly while shooting AC20 at you. Especially in a CITY.

Remember - this is a mech designed for cramped spaces where other light mechs speed hardly matter. A raven forces to break down to 50 is a far easier thing to fight and they dont have as much room to move.

Uselessness get a completely different description with an Urbanmech with AC/20 on Alpine though. That would probably be the slowest engagement ever.

Well Bishop, this thread made me try out the "Spider-Urbie", with AC-10 and small laser. First impressions: I'm in the world's shortest Centurion!

I'm thinking of an Urbanmech FFA gladiatorial arena. Because games are much more fun when everyone's machine contains the same amount of suck. It could even have a Hunger Games style trap system that forces the players closer together, or a juggernaut mode where one player gets to play as an Atlas.

A warning thouhg - it can go either way. had a few awesome matches with 2 kills and 4 assists in a the spider and another with 1 kill and 7 assists.

Third one was SPLAT.

Was crazy.

Urbanmech can sit legless under my desk, accepting pieces of garbage. I don't like it, it was a funny fling thing for a while but now the novelty has worn off and it's just annoying to hear its name.

Like I have posted before make one urbie hero variant but tied to another light variant for the upgrades.

If I had the choice between Urbie and Spider, I'd probably take the Urbie. At least it has that "surprise AC/10 in your back" feel.

I put an LBX10 on my Spider.

- I do like the concept art alot. Looks as similar to the Jagermech as the older ones do. I'd pilot it.

you mad bro? don't think you can easy kill them? you're scared of the truth that being killed by mg is nothing to your pride than an urbie killing you.

it's going to happen and my qq buckets are waiting for the victims of urbie to fill them with their tears to the urban mech gods!
