was just in a match with AcfromDC, he did 1796 dmaage with his lrms. needless to say his side won. im sure even he will agree lrms are a bit OP at the moment.
earlier i was in my lrm boat 2 10's and 2 5's i did insane damage with 0 effort..not really the type of game i want.

Yeah LRM's seem to be hitting harder but SRM's are effected too.

Took my splatacat out and did 1k damage without even using half my ammo. Would average about 500 prior to this patch so don't know what could have effected them.

If you can't see that LRM damage is insanely disproportionate right now, I don't know what to tell you. I've been playing mech warrior games my entire adult life, and I've NEVER seen anything like this before. Head shotting mechs with the first LRM volley? It's ridiculous....nerf? They don't need a nerf, they need FIXED. Big difference...because right now? They're JACKED THE F UP. Period.

Imagine if we didn't have double armor. This latest and greatest adjustment has taken my last ounce of pleasure in this game away. Fix this LRM debacle then address the lack of groups other then 4 and 8. After that please implement CW if you have any intention of seeing this game thrive.

Stop listening to the solo rambo mentality and listen to the people who are trying to help build a community.

Yup... This guy nuked me with some LRMs earlier. 2xLRM-15 from him and my COM-1B (which was nearly untouched) had both legs in the red, LT and RT both down to orange on internals, CT in the red, and both arms stripped. The next volley obliterated me.

Two games later, someone hit me with 2xLRM-15 and double-legged me.

The next game, someone hit me with 2xLRM-15 and double-armed me.

So I stripped my weapons and threw an LRM-10 on it. I got into an LRM fight with a Raven. When a Commando and a Raven are lobbing LRM-10s at each other, YOU NEED TO FIX LRMS!

This is a NEW issue as of todays patch.

It is NOT the splash damage bug reported last patch. (although that is still present)

Something is causing LRM to do signifantly higher damage than before this patch dropped, i did about 10 drops tonight with my LRM awesome-8T, the same LRM build i've been using since end of closed beta. Have noticed a large increase in my damage output, averaging a good 50% more damage than pre-patch. (1000-1500 a game.)

Tonight I have 1 shot killed almost every type of light & medium mech, and anything big enough to survive a volley or 2 is in seriously rough shape afterwards.. eg - hit a CTF-3D with a single volley of 40 LRMS (tagged and artemis, line of sight, granted) and it ripped out its right torso, right arm, right leg and left CT, left leg and left torso heavily damage....

Lots of chatter here. I should note this patch did nothing to LRMs that wasn't already in place for the last couple of patches. Just now there's no one using ECM, the counter to LRMs. Got issues with LRMs? Bring ECM. Use cover. Power down, power up and side step them. Dance like a fool when they come to avoid concentrating the damage.

Or how about shooting the LRM boat? It isn't particularly difficult.

Far as LRMs doing more damage? Other than Ravens dying easier, I haven't noticed anything that wasn't true before. Taking 80 LRMs does 144 damage. Lots of LRM-20 * 4 people now. Occasional LRM-15 * 4 to 5 people now.

Then there's people with Artemis.

LRMs were broken before, they seem more broken now. I've had the max armored arms of my cataphract taken off in one volley. I used to hide behind cover when LRMs were inbound but, these days, I hardly leave cover. I used an AWS-8V with 2 LRM15 and an LRM20 and Tag and took a Commando from 60% down to 20% with one alpha. I'm even thinking of putting AMS back on my mechs.

Good idea. But remember if one volley can do 144 damage, it's pretty expected that it's going to hurt since not even the Atlas can put that much armor on his center torso.

Have you actually played todays patch? Come back when you have. It's not the same as it was before. Go 1 shot a few people, or get 1 shotted yourself, come back with your revised opinion.

...oh...and powering up and down to avoid incoming LRMs....are you simple?

and here I was wondering why one salvo of LRM's were stripping 45 points off each leg but leaving my torso intact (nearly untouched)
I thought it was some bug that they target just legs now... but no just insane splash

look, I have no idea what has happened in the patch but something is certainly going on... I love my LRMs and missiles and even used them when nobody else would. However right now, they are clearly WAY more powerful than they were or have been... The guy in the screenshot was an LRM boat... Posted Image

I can lay down a constant stream of 60 LRMs from my stalker. AMS does jack-shat. My TAG negates ECM.

I dunno about you guys but I think doing 1k+ damage a round with 3 artemis LRM10s isn't overpowered at all.

Update... I changed my weapons loadout AGAIN. My COM-1B had 1x LRM-10 (1 ton ammo) and 2x Small Laser last time. I chucked the lasers and added another ton of ammo. 1x LRM-10 with 2 tons now...

204 damage last game.

A Commando fires 2 missiles at a time. AMS should rip through that like it's not even there. I should NOT be doing 200 damage per game with a single LRM-10.

I don't normally like making direct demands... but...

Dear PGI, fix LRMs ASAP. This is a laughing stock.

Remove splash damage right now.

Do not wait for the next patch.

Your players give you a lot of patience and they love this game, please don't take it for granted.
