Honestly...play more. I liked LRMs pre-patch even though I don't use them much (and never extreme boated) but now, even my troll build (CTF-2X: 2xERPPC + TAG + 2xALRM15) can almost garuntee one-shotting any mech in LoS...4 missile glob streams...It was always fun to troll in, and I was successful, but c'mon...this is NOT a good or OP build, yet it's performing as one. Once you scale this up to stalker boat levels...it's just insane. I don't want a nerf...I just want a fix.

Fought some stalker LRM boat, as good as before :huh:

They got me nailed behind the cover though.

This needs to be fixed ASAP. April 2nd is far too late, as a lot of players are consindering leaving the game because of this insanity.

Neither AMS nor taking cover are of any help when multiple LRM boats are firing from different angles. Leaving cover would mean instant death within 2-3 salvos max. Bringing direct damage weapons to a match is simply stupid because one simply can't get close enough to be more than a nuisance to the boats before getting burst to pieces.

We're back to LRMwarrior Online. Happening every few months. Least PGI is consistent.

So many other issues like the jager mech hit box being way to big but yes I am not playing MWO until this is hotfixed because I cant be stuffed LRMing its boring as *******

Was spectating my friend in his 3x ALRM15 DDC yesterday:

- Tags a 100% hp Jenner about 800m out on in the desert.

- Fires 3x ALRM15.

- Jenner runs at fullspeed into cover.

- Tag wears off, no LOS for Artemis.

- According to minimap the Jenner continues to go full speed transversly to missile flightpath behind cover not tagged.

- BOOM!

You should really die when having multiple LRM boats firing at you from different angles. They just outplay you, really, need to accept loss:)

hello,

i m 3 weeks old into the game and in the process of mastering all cataphract variants (just the 2x left to unlock the extra module slot)

i generally boat LLs or LPLs on the 1x and 3d and i suck (hardly ever in the top 3) but i do LOVE this game!

anyway, i came on the site to read patch notes and I see this post, so i go to try lrms for myself on the 2x (switching my srm6s)
i never used lrms before except on some trial mech very early on....

the result below (first match since last night's patch)

waaaaaait a minute... the cataphract does not have very many missile tubes.
Is it possible that LRM do more damage if hitting in a long salvo, instead of all at once? (Like my Catapult-C4 would do?)
Because then we would have a bug that would have nothing to do with the LRM's damage or flight path per se.

Karma's a ***** huh? All those LRM tears, and then, a reason for them. :)

However, my balanced and versatile LRM cat is no match for the monsters now stalking the field. Karma is indeed a *****.

At least you have to keep a lock, unlike early Closed Beta.

I wouldn't mind so much if they weren't so deadly.

They tested it

And found it is now working as intended..




Working as intended ? When there is a known bug making all missile do more damage than they're supposed to ?

People want them to change the dispersal of damage... not to add more!

The game is in a laughable joke state right now if you aren't running an LRM mech, and is hilarious if you are. At least my 45LRM Jager is going to start off with damned good damage stats... even in a losing round im putting 300+ damage out in LRMs, while in a win its averaging 600-1000 and 3-4 kills. It's like being a splatcat with 1000m range.

Don't try to make sense of an apologist's logic. People defended the unkillable Ravens, death from above Artemis and dozens of other "bugs" as features.

Pretty much what has been happening to me in my jenner. There is virtually no escape. I ran behind a building turned around just in time to see the missiles turn the corner of the building like they were streaks. 1 salvo from full health to dead, when I said something about LRMs need to be toned down, of course I got the "learn to use cover" BS. I was behind cover long enough to turn and watch the missiles.

I guess if you want to use any non-ECM,LRM build, you should just find a building, or hill, near the spawn point hide and wait for them to find you.

Very frustrated with this last patch, that being said- I believe they will fix this quick. It's not quite as bad as when Artemis could actually curve backwards to hit you- but real close.

Lets be real, when ANY mech can dish out over 2000 points of damage, there is a problem- saw the screen shots 2700 points of damage... :) wtf. that is ALL of the armor for 4 atlas's and enough for a couple of lights. That is imbalance, pure and simple.

Not raging, just my observations, and opinion. PGI- let's get this fixed!!................please :) me love you long time......

not really needed. if I see target standing still in my LOS, even nearby enemy little ECM critter can't prevent me killing this target.

Yeppers - Time to put away my beloved brawlers and make some bank. Upgraded my old Founder's Cat, slapped some LRMs on there and BLAM 250k for a win.

If the new game is LRMs, I'm still in it...at least until I get bored again.

I'm surprised I haven't seen more poptarts. LRM weenies are usually their natural food source.
