Lots of new content hitting rightnow. I've been messing with Warfame, Neverwinter nights, MWTactics and a bunch of other smaller work.

Trying hard to get more info into Heavy Gear - I want alpha status damn it :D

Wow you left here to try out a Cryptic/Perfect World game of all things? You must really hate MWO right about now! ;)

Time zone matters. PuG population is still all right, but the 8-8 queue is basically dead now.

I think that says more about the state of 8 mans than it does about the game itself.

Ooh, so the Heatsink sub-forum is not cool enough for this thread? Guess I was too optimistic with my predictions....

The Heatsink forum IS what WAS the 14 pinned topics that you'd have to wade through to get to posts like this. This doesn't even remotely warrant a heatsink thread as it provides no information and has only anecdotal evidence to back up the OPs claims,

However, I look forward to see it in the other mentioned forum :D

The Elo Matchmaker is broken for me and I'm tired of dropping with what appears to be inexperienced players.
I'm gone, playing other things, until they at least tweak something that would fix it. So are a number of other people I know.

The only constant in these matches, if you are solo dropping, is you. Perhaps it is time for you to reevaluate your actual skill level.

Seems like a ghost town every time I get on now. Usually I'd have 15 - 20 friends on all the time, but now only 3 - 4. My first guess is that other people are also getting really boring swing matches where one side rolls the other 8 - 0. Other guess is Starcraft 2's release... Anyone else experiencing low population, or is it just me?

They got tired of paying for features in a released game that continues to be called a beta due to an incomplete game being rushed to release by the publishers, and then finding said game (and the paid for features) nearly unusable every couple weeks due to obvious failures in internal testing when a patch comes out.

User: "I'm enjoying paying this game! I'll pay $50 for some doodads that'll make me look like a badass while enjoying the game."

*Patch gets released*

User: "Holy crap this is horrible, I crash frequently, when I do run properly I get bathed in LRMs and I can't even control my mech now."

Dev: "Oh yea, about that, it's a beta."

Personally, I don't play in groups at all anymore so I don't even look at my friends list to see how many are on. For me, I'm playing about 1/4 or so of what I played a month ago. The matches have become stale, still no nerf at all to ecm, and I hate the new maps. No reason to play at this point.

Clearly nothing is changing from week to week. Especially not core game values such as damage. All systems that were advertised over a year ago as part of "release" are in already.

No reason to call this beta.

I'm playing other games right now. Bioshock Infinite came out yesterday, I've also been playing Shootmania, F-Zero GX, Rome: Total War and GTA: San Andreas.

I don't usually stick around on one game for ages. I'll be back to MWO most likely, though.

Perhaps this is a question you should ask your 15 -20 friends, not random strangers on a forum board.

I am SO *** damned tired of the "it's you", "you just need to play more", "you're just a pugstomper getting what he deserves" soundbite comments that have no clue!

For this particular comment:
1) I NEVER drop solo! I don't like random, uncoordinated play. I despise it and prefer to play in organised teams against organised teams.
2) While my win/loss isn't huge (although positive), it also hasn't changed much since Elo. What has changed is the number of times my team gets dropped with an unskilled 4 man. It doesn't happen all the time but it happens enough to ruin my enjoyment.
3) Note that there are others who have the same issue with the Elo matchmaker. We are not all just terrible players with delusions of grandeur and as more appear, we are also not so easily dismissed. The Elo Matchmaker has some serious flaws that affect some players but don't present to all players.

Elo Matchmaker is broken for me and until some effort is made to address that issue, it is a game breaker for me! I'm also not the only one!

I'm sorry. I would like to know why your version of the game has the main feature, community warfare, in it. Yet mine does not.

I've been away since late November. I didn't want to get burned out playing all through closed beta.

I saw the recent changes and open beta rolling. I figured it would be a good time to start playing again a few days ago. Playing solo pug, I have no problem getting matches in about 30 seconds.

People complaining about 8v8 queues or some such? Well I hope times are more lengthy because you are deploying otherwise with a serious advantage. You should be fighting people of that same mindset. I hope 4 man groups are a bit faster. Makes me shudder like the premades of WoW year 1.

If they want to encourage more group queue play, would be nice to have a more rewarding bracket for the higher level play.

We're all invisible. Apparently with ECM we aren't supposed to see our opponents and teamates so we can stop pretending to play as a team. Buggy huds, River City Night, and vision modes force us to look at gimped monocolors. The laughable chat system is meant to prevent us from seeing anyone else online. I don't know how any new players would consider this a fun game?

Yesterday is gone and what you want tomorrow won't be ready until it is done. Beyond that, why sweat the small stuff. It is little wonder the Dev would say the Core doesn't know what it wants.

Ask a pertinent question, one related to a Core game play issue, and invariably you will get a 50-50 split. Even now, after a few weeks, the ECM "debacle" has subsided, like them or not, counters have been added or tweaked. Word is, others may be on the horizon. Flush was an un-imaginable game ending abomination!

Turns out, it is at best a convenience that will cost many some hard earned C-Bills and GXP. Airstrikes, after the Flush debacle got little to no press. Why is that? If a Flush is a game ender, then high explosive stuff dropping from the sky, that apparently can destroy your whole Team, has to be as well....right?

The General Forum is just a powder keg with a short fuse. What would you do with a powder keg with a short fuse?

The same as you do in the field against a SplatCat or anything with duel AC20's. Stay the hell away from it until it dies out or runs out of ammo. LOL :o

Until serious discussion returns once again, they are way better off disregarding the BS that they find here.
